GOLDEN SLIPPER FRIENDS OF THE TIGNISH SENIORS HOME
The Golden Slipper Friends of the Tignish Seniors Home will be meeting on Monday, November
12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Home.
COMMUNITY OF TIGNISH
The Council’s Regular Monthly Meeting will be held on Monday, November 12th at 7:00
p.m. in the boardroom of the Municipal Office.
The flushing of the water lines will take place on Thursday, November 15th between the
hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The flushing of the mains is required to help maintain water
quality.
ROYAL STAR FOODS - TIGNISH FISHERIES
Royal Star Foods Stockroom and Fishmart hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m., and closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00
p.m. We have a selection of gift baskets, Chicken haddie, salt fish, bar clams, and lobster meat
packs.

Tignish and Area Tourism Ambassador Program is now offering one-on-one Social Media
training to tourism operators and other area businesses. Twitter and Facebook page creation, as
well as Instagram and Pinterest training will be offered for those interested - and not just ‘how’ to
use them, but why and when. A challenge to business owners: You tell me why you don’t think
you need to use Twitter, and I will tell you why you do! Also being offered is assistance in
creating WordPress based websites to assist with your personal social media plan. For more

PALMER ROAD CWL BAZAAR
The Palmer Road CWL Bazaar will be held at the Palmer Road Community Centre on Sunday,
November 18th starting with a brunch after the 11:00 a.m. Mass. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for
children. There will be a bake, craft, and white elephant sale, bingo at 2:00 p.m., 50/50 tickets,
and a draw for the baskets!

TIGNISH CREDIT UNION - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Tignish Credit Union Ltd. will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, November 20th
at 7:00 p.m. at the Tignish Parish Centre. The evening will begin with the business meeting
followed by refreshments. Prizes will be drawn for throughout the evening including two grand
prizes of $500 each. All owners are welcome and urged to attend to celebrate the success of
their business. It is your opportunity to hear the reports on the year’s activities from the Board
Members whom you elected.
