DÎNER AU RÔTI DE BOEUF - CHEVALIERS DE COLOMB DE PALMER ROAD
Les Chevaliers du Colomb vous invitent à un dîner au rôti de boeuf le dimanche 5 juin
débutant à 12h00 midi. Le dîner consiste d’un rôti de boeuf avec toutes les garnitures, dessert

The Palmer Road Knights of Columbus invite you to a Roast Beef Dinner on Sunday, June 5th
beginning at 12:00 noon. Dinner consists of roast beef with all the trimmings, dessert, and
tea/coffee. Cost: Adults $8.00 and children $4.00. Proceeds for the up-keep of the Hall.

An amazing array of West Prince talent and personalities in concert on Sunday, June 5th at
Westisle Composite High School at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults
and $5 for students. 100% of proceeds to cancer research and programs. Free informative

The Palmer Road Liberty A.F.G. is holding an Open Al-Anon Meeting at the Palmer Road
Community Centre on Monday, June 6th at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcomed to attend.
ST. LOUIS T.O.P.S.
St. Louis T.O.P.S. meets every Monday at the St. Louis Community Hall. Weigh-in is from 6:00
to 6:30 p.m. and our meeting is from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. We like to see old members returning
and new members are always welcome!
FISHERMEN’S HAVEN PARK CELEBRATES!
Our annual celebration in the park is being planned for July but we need YOUR help. If

Access PEI will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting May 30th until September 30th
for summer hours.
TIGNISH HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
The Tignish Home and School Association is once again offering our Summer Reading Program
during the months of July and August to all students registered at Tignish Elementary. This
program is available to all students for a summer fee of $15. Students can work on any number
of areas such as reading, math, french, etc. The student tutor will work with your child based
on his/her needs. It is a great opportunity to keep up their skills during the summer months.
Each week is a one hour one-on-one session. Please contact Nicole Morrissey at 882-2007 to
sign up.
50/50 CHILDREN’S WISH FOUNDATION BINGO
There will be a 50/50 Chip Bingo on Wednesday, June 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the
Palmer Road Community Centre. All proceeds will go towards the Children’s Wish Foundation.
WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN NIGHT
There will be a Welcome to Kindergarten Night at Tignish Elementary School on Thursday,
June 9th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. (for children registered for kindergarten in September 2011).
TIGNISH IRISH MOSS FESTIVAL
The 31 Annual Tignish Moss Festival is June 27th - July 3rd, 2011. The next committee
meeting is Thursday June 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Tignish Fire Hall. Anyone interest in
volunteering or for more information, contact Kendal at 882-2476 or

ST. FELIX GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
• The next Golf tournament will be on Sunday, June 12th with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
A fund raiser for Tignish Health Center. 4-person best ball. Bbq, 50/50, and draws to follow.
Come support this worthy cause. Call 882-2328, we will get you in.
• A sign-up sheet is posted for juniors for the Irish Moss Festival on June 30th. All juniors are
welcomed to register. The GBS Program for children 6 to 15 years will begin July 6th. You
can pre-register your children.

St. Felix C.W.L. monthly meeting will be held on Monday, June 13th at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Felix
Community Centre. Members are asked to donate a loonie in reply to role-call. New members
always welcomed!

COMMUNITY OF TIGNISH
The Tignish Community Council and staff wishes to thank the Residents, the 641 Air Cadet
Squadron, and the 4-H Club for helping with the Community Clean Up on Monday, May 23rd.
The Council’s Regular Monthly Meeting will be held on Monday, June 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the
Fire Hall Clubroom. You are welcome to attend to voice your concerns or make suggestions.
The Community once again has registered in the Community in Bloom under the Competitive
Category with a population of less than 1,000. You can help make this a success by sweeping
the sidewalk in front of your property, especially after a grass cut.
Landscaping Grant Program is available once again. Anyone who plans to expand their flower
garden or add another flower bed, please call the Community Office at 882-2600 for more info.
TIGNISH RECREATION DEPARTMENT NEWS
A special thank you to all who volunteered and took part for the IWK Festival in the Park. This
years festival raised $9,000! Here is a list of winners: 50/50 Winner of $1,537 was Joanne
Doucette, 1st Prize Winner was Claretta MacWilliams, 2nd Prize Winner was Shauna Arsenault,
3rd Prize Winner was Haylen Gavin, the winner of the quilt was Cindy Gaudet, and the School

SOUPER À LA MORUE SALÉE
Le Club des coeurs joyeux vous invite à un souper de morue salée, qui comprend le bacon,
chow-chow, des légumes, ainsi qu’un dessert, thé ou café, le vendredi 17 juin à partir de
16h30 - 18h30 au Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. Le coût est 10,00$ (6,00$ pour les
membres). Un autre choix sera offert à ceux qui n'aiment pas le poisson salé.
SALT FISH SUPPER
Le Club des coeurs joyeux invite you to come out to their Salt Fish Supper, which includes
bacon, chow-chow, vegetables, along with a dessert, tea or coffee on Friday, June 17th from
4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. Cost is $10.00 ($6.00 for members).
An alternative choice will be offered to those who do not like salt fish.
