Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m., Gail Lecky from Canadian Parents for French will be at the Tignish
Elementary School doing a parent session on helping your children out with their homework. The workshop
would include topics like: how to make your home “Homework ready”, learning styles, motivations, where
does the teacher fit in, tips on studying. The first part of the workshop is good for anyone with kids in school,
the last part is geared towards French immersion but it is not a large part of the workshop so all parents would
benefit by it. We encourage as many people as possible to come out as this is beneficial to both students
and parents. The workshop will last for 1 to 1½ hours.

THANK YOU
Once again our Horse Poker Run was a huge success. To make this event successful takes much hard work
and many volunteers. We would like to thank all the horsemen, anyone who donated food and prizes, all the
volunteers who dealt with the snow removal, the sound system, cleared paths in the woods, the bathroom
accomodations, those who travelled from outside our Community and to all who helped support this event
in anyway. Due to your generosity, we were able to donate $1960.00 to the Western Hospital Foundation
to be put towards the purchase of a portable oxygen saturation machine. Once again, many thanks and God
bless each one of you!
The Family of the late Edmund Jack Perry
