ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST
Le Conseil Rév. S.-É.-Perrey inc. would like to invite the community to an all-you-can-eat
breakfast on Sunday, January 29th at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest, between the hours of
8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Cost: $7 adult; $5 student; $2 preschooler.

Breakfast every Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Darts or 45 card play every Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. for steaks.
TIGNISH FIGURE SKATING CLUB
The "Club Competition" is being held on Sunday January 29th at 1:45 p.m. All skaters will be
participating and some will be competing - what a great opportunity to see some great skaters!
PRIZE BINGO
There will be a prize bingo in aid of Eleanor Perry who’s undergoing cancer treatment on
Sunday, January 29th at the Tignish Legion at 2:00 p.m. Storm date is February 12th. Last
round is a full card for a 32” flat screen T.V. Bring your bingo chips! For more information, please

GOLDEN SLIPPER FRIENDS OF THE TIGNISH SENIORS HOME
The Golden Slipper Friends of the Tignish Seniors Home will be meeting on Monday, January

OPEN HOUSE AND REGISTRATION EVENING
The Employment Resource Centres & Holland College are hosting a registration evening on
Monday, January 30th at 7:00 p.m. at the new West Prince Campus, in Alberton. Storm date is
January 31st. Anyone wanting to apply for fall 2012 programs, the $40 registration fee will be

TIGNISH SENIORS HOME
The Tignish Seniors Home invites you to an Alzheimer’s Support Group on Wednesday,
February 1st at 1:30 p.m. This will be put on by the Alzheimer’s Society of P.E.I. For more

TIGNISH HEALTH CENTRE
♥ Dr. Sethi will be away from his office on Wednesday, February 1st until Monday, February
20th. He will have regular office hours on Tuesday, February 21st.
♥ The Bargain Basement will have a large blue bag for $6 plus GST for the month of February. If
you are looking to volunteer in the new year, we are looking for volunteer at the Bargain
Basement. This is a great way to meet new people and it’s only 4 hours per day. Please call
the Health Centre to put your name on our list or drop by the Bargain Basement.

Le Conseil Rév. S.-É.-Perrey inc. will be celebrating “La Fête de la Chandeleur” by offering a
pancake and sausage breakfast at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest, between the hours of
8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 2nd. Storm date will be February 3rd. The
price is $2 per person plus a non-perishable food item, which we will donate to the West Prince
Caring Cupboard. Come out and celebrate with us!
PALMER ROAD COMMUNITY CENTER
Join us for a night of entertainment by Old Doctor Young (Joey Doucette, Andy Perry, Cory
Gallant, and Randy Allain) on Saturday, February 4th from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at the
Palmer Road Community Center. Admission is $5.
DÎNER AU RÔTI DE BOEUF - CHEVALIERS DE COLOMB DE PALMER ROAD
Les Chevaliers de Colomb vous invitent à un dîner au rôti de boeuf le dimanche 5 février
débutant à midi. Le dîner consiste d’un rôti de boeuf avec toutes les garnitures, dessert et thé

ROAST BEEF DINNER - PALMER ROAD KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The Palmer Road Knights of Columbus invite you to a Roast Beef Dinner on Sunday, February
5th beginning at 12:00 noon. Dinner consists of roast beef with all the trimmings, dessert and
tea/coffee. Cost: Adults $10 and children $5. Proceeds will go towards the up-keep of the Hall.
VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER
Come enjoy a Valentine’s Day dinner on Tuesday, February 14th at the Tignish Parish Center at
6:30 p.m. Why not book tickets for you and your partner or get together with a group of friends
and enjoy a candlelight Dinner (tables of 8) which will include a complimentary glass of wine,
turkey and all the trimmings, dessert buffet, great door prizes, along with musical entertainment as
you enjoy your meal. Price per ticket is $30 and are available by calling Stacy MacWilliams at
859-1324; Janie McRae at 882-2732 or by contacting Angela Callaghan at Tignish Co-op. Tickets
are limited and deadline to order is Friday, February 10th. The Center will be beautifully
decorated by “Miss K’s Kreations”. All proceeds from this event will go to CIBC Run for the Cure,
Atlantic Division of Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Please come out and support this cause
to help find a way to end Breast Cancer.

We, the family of the late Joe McCue, would like to say thank you to all our dear friends,
neighbours and relatives for your many acts of kindness and the support you gave us when Joe
was sick, and during his wake and funeral. Thank you Fr. Brendon for all your prayers, visits, and
very touching and personal funeral liturgy. Thank you to Fr. Charles, Fr. Albin, and Fr. Eddie for
concelebrating at Mass, Antoinette, choirs, altar servers Eucharistic ministers, lectors, and
Rooney’s Funeral Service. Special thank you to the staff of the Western Hospital for the
wonderful care Joe received while a patient. To the members of the C.W.L. for the lovely
luncheon following the service. Last but not least, thank you to everyone for all your visits to our
home, hospital, and funeral parlour, for the numerous cards and messages of sympathy, masses,
flowers, memorial donation, phone calls and all the food delivered to our homes. We are so
blessed to have such wonderful friends. God Bless you all!
