ROYAL STAR FOODS – TIGNISH FISHERIES
Come visit the Fish Mart at Royal Star Foods, located at 175 Judes Point, Tignish. We have fish,
mussels, sand free clams, oysters, quahogs, etc., along with fresh frozen lobster meat, scallops,
shrimp, canned hot pack lobster, lobster paste, and lots of Island made products and gifts. Store
hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and
closed on Sunday. We have FREE delivery throughout P.E.I. on Tuesdays and Fridays. We

ST. FELIX GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
The Club Championship that was postponed last week because of rain will be held this
Sunday, September 16th. First round starting at 9:00 a.m. followed immediately by the
second round. Tee times will be available after 12:30 p.m. or call 882-2328.
The 13th Annual Corporate Challenge Golf Tournament in aid of the Children’s Wish
Foundation will be held on Sunday, September 23rd. Shot gun start at 1:00 p.m. Get your

Ladies night every Monday at 5:30 p.m. and men’s night is now every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.

GOLDEN SLIPPER FRIENDS OF THE TIGNISH SENIORS HOME
The Golden Slipper Friends of the Tignish Seniors Home Care will be meeting at the Home on
Monday, September 17th, at 2:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to join this group is welcome to join this
meeting.
COMMUNITY SCHOOL - M. E. CALLAGHAN
Registration will be held on Monday, September 17th, at 6:00 p.m., with classes starting the
same evening. We will be offering classes on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, digital camera,
scrapbooking, card making, art, quilting, craft-a-night, woodworking, conversational French, rug
hooking, healthy cooking, basic computer, and storytelling. Registration fee is $15 for 10 weeks.
Some classes will require extra costs for supplies.
LIBERTY PALMER ROAD AL-ANON

TIGNISH SILVER WINGS
The Tignish Silver Wings FSC 2012-2013 registration will be held on Friday, September 21st, at
the Tignish Arena, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PLEASE BRING CHILDS HEALTH CARD.
Full-time rates (40 sessions) for Kidskate, level 1 and 2 is $143, Canskate Level 3 to 6 is $255,
and Starskate after level 6 is $315. We also offer part-time (20 sessions) for Canskate Level 3 and
up only. Part-time rates for Canskate Level 3 to 6 are $180 and Starskate after level 6 is $210.

RWANDA-AFRICA MISSION TRIP FUNDRAISER
The "Project LOV Rwanda II" team is holding an evening of Gospel Music and auction
on Saturday, September 22nd, at the Alberton Community Centre. Members of the group
Gentle Fire and the Palmer Road Men's Choir will be featured along with other Gospel Music
performers. Auction items viewing is at 6:00 p.m. and the concert starts at 6:30 p.m. If you
wish to donate a cake or an item for the auction, please phone Brenda at 882-3495 for pick-up.
All monies raised will go towards the Rwanda Building Project.

Join us for a FREE 7-week introduction to physical activity and healthy eating course led by Lynn
Jones. Meetings are at St. Louis Elementary School on Tuesdays, at 6:30 p.m., starting
September 25th. The goal of the program is to teach participants how to increase their activity

LOT 7 CEILIDHS
The Lot 7 Ceilidh at St. Mark’s Hall in Burton, Route 14, will hold their final show on Thursday,
September 27th, at 7:30 p.m. A great evening of entertainment featuring Peggy Perry-Clinton
with Lester Stubbert, The King of the Celtic guitar, who’s also a master on the keyboard. Peggy
will also be accompanied by her father, Alphy Perry and Family. Admission is $8 with lunch, door
prizes and 50/50. Please note that Friday, September 21st, show featuring Eddie Quinn, John
Webster, and Sheila Fitzpatrick has been SOLD OUT.

WOMEN’S HEALTH AND FITNESS EXPO
You are invited to the 2012 Women’s Health and Fitness Expo at the Murphy’s Community
Centre, located at 200 Richmond St., Charlottetown, on Saturday, September 29th, from 10:00
a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a Fundraiser for the “P.E.I. Chapter” of Canadian Hemophilia Society.
There will be 42+ booths and exhibitors, that include everything from health, cosmetics, fashion,
decorating, fitness, fun, love… everything and anything for women! There will also be Zumba
classes. All monies raised will stay on P.E.I. to aid and support Islanders and their families
affected by a Bleeding Disorder. Hope to see you there!
