JOUEZ POUR CÉLÉBRER LA JOURNÉE D’ALPHABÉTISATION FAMILIALE VEUILLEZ NOTER CHANGEMENT DE DATE: Toutes les familles sont invitées à un party pyjama gratuit le jeudi 3 février de 18h30 à 20h00 au Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest pour célébrer la Journée de l’alphabétisation familiale. Au cours de la soirée, qui se déroulera en français, on chantera la chanson thème, on jouera des jeux puis on racontera des histoires. La soirée sera animé par Madame Suzanne Chaisson. On donnera une trousse d’information et d’activities à chaque famille. Il y aura un goûter et des prix de présence. Venez donc chanter, jouer et lire en famille! PLAY FOR FAMILY LITERACY DAY PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE: All families are invited to attend a free francophone pyjama party on Thursday, February 3rd from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest to celebrate Family Literacy Day. During the evening, which will take place entirely in French, we will sing the theme song, play games and read stories animated by Madame Suzanne Chaisson. We will hand out an activities and information kit to each family. There will be a light snack and door prizes. Come along to sing, play and read as a family! Storm date: Sunday, February 13th. Registration is from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. $10.00 per sled and $5.00 per extra passenger. ATV’s are also welcomed to join our Poker Run. BOOK LAUNCHING: LA CHANDELEUR EN ACADIE Georges Arsenault’s new book, La Chandeleur en Acadie, will be launched at the Acadian Museum in Miscouche on Sunday, January 30th at 2:00 p.m. This 142-page illustrated and well-documented publication is on the Acadian celebration of Candlemas. The public is cordially invited to attend the launch which will feature music by the Acadian fiddler Peter Arsenault accompanied on the guitar by Gary Gallant.
