MARCHE DANS LE GYMNASE: Le Conseil désire informer la communauté que le gymnase du Centre

BREAKFAST - LA CHANDELEUR: You are cordially invited to come and celebrate the Chandeleur on
Wednesday, February 2nd at Le Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. On the menu: pancake and sausage
breakfast served between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. The cost is $2.00 per person plus a donation of a nonperishable food item which will be donated to the West Prince Caring Cupboard. Come on out and bring

WALKING IN THE GYM: Le Conseil advises the community that the gym in the Centre acadien de
Prince-Ouest is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for anyone
wishing to walk inside during the winter months. Everyone welcome!
JOUEZ POUR CÉLÉBRER LA JOURNÉE D’ALPHABÉTISATION FAMILIALE
VEUILLEZ NOTER CHANGEMENT DE DATE: Toutes les familles sont invitées à un party pyjama gratuit
le jeudi 3 février de 18h30 à 20h00 au Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest pour célébrer la Journée de
l’alphabétisation familiale. Au cours de la soirée, qui se déroulera en français, on chantera la chanson thème,
on jouera des jeux puis on racontera des histoires. La soirée sera animé par Madame Suzanne Chaisson.
On donnera une trousse d’information et d’activities à chaque famille. Il y aura un goûter et des prix de

PLAY FOR FAMILY LITERACY DAY
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE: All families are invited to attend a free francophone pyjama party on
Thursday, February 3rd from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest to celebrate Family
Literacy Day. During the evening, which will take place entirely in French, we will sing the theme song, play
games and read stories animated by Madame Suzanne Chaisson. We will hand out an activities and
information kit to each family. There will be a light snack and door prizes. Come along to sing, play and read

19TH ANNUAL SNOWMOBILE POKER RUN
The 19th Annual Snowmobile Poker Run in memory of Donald Gaudet Jr. will be held on Sunday, February
6th starting at the Tignish Legion. Storm date: Sunday, February 13th. Registration is from 12:00 noon to
1:00 p.m. $10.00 per sled and $5.00 per extra passenger. ATV’s are also welcomed to join our Poker Run.
Lots of prizes, hot soups and chowders. Proceeds in aid of the Kidney Foundation of Canada, PEI Chapter.

ROAST BEEF DINNER - PALMER ROAD KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The Palmer Road Knights of Columbus invite you to a Roast Beef Dinner on Sunday, February 6th beginning at 12:00

LANCEMENT DE LIVRE LA CHANDELEUR EN ACADIE
Le lancement du nouveau livre de Georges Arsenault, La Chandeleur en Acadie, aura lieu le dimanche 30 janvier à
14h00 au Musée acadien à Miscouche. Ce livre de 142 pages est riche en information et bien illustré. Le grand public
est cordialement invité à la fête. Elle sera agrémentée de musique traditionelle avec le violoneux Peter Arsenault qui sera
accompagné à la guitare par Gary Gallant. En cas de tempête: le mercredi 2 février à 19h00.
BOOK LAUNCHING: LA CHANDELEUR EN ACADIE
Georges Arsenault’s new book, La Chandeleur en Acadie, will be launched at the Acadian Museum in Miscouche on
Sunday, January 30th at 2:00 p.m. This 142-page illustrated and well-documented publication is on the Acadian
celebration of Candlemas. The public is cordially invited to attend the launch which will feature music by the Acadian
fiddler Peter Arsenault accompanied on the guitar by Gary Gallant. Storm date: Wed., February 2nd at 7:00 p.m.

The West Prince Employment Resource Centres are pleased to announce they will be hosting Holland College
Information Nights: Monday, February 7th at the Tignish Centre and Tuesday, February 8th at the Palmer Road Centre
both at 7:00 p.m. The New Holland College West Prince Campus Manager Paula Foley and admission staff will be on
hand to introduce the NEW Programs which will be offered in West Prince along with answering questions and accepting
