CREDIT UNION ARENA TOONIE DRAW
The Credit Union Arena’s 50/50 Toonie Draw continues over the summer. Now that the Arena is closed,
you can enter the Toonie Draw at the Tignish Co-op Lunch Counter, Pizza Shack, Tignish Fisheries Stock
Room, and F.J. Shea’s & Son. Starting in May, you can also enter at Royal Star Foods lunchroom. Thank

FUNDRAISER PRIZE DABBER BINGO
There will be a dabber bingo on Sunday, April 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the Tignish Legion put on by Eleanor
Perry and her Angels Team. All proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Run for the Cure. Please come out
and support a great cause and win some great prizes. Thanks for your support.
WEST PRINCE FUNERAL CO-OP ANNUAL MEETING
The West Prince Funeral Co-op annual meeting will be held on Sunday, April 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the
Funeral Home. All members are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

Music featuring Linda Costain & Girls at the St. Louis Community Center on Sunday, April 14th at 7:30

LET’S GET ACTIVE AT M.E.C
Beginning on Tuesday April 9th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., M.E.C. is hosting 6 consecutive sessions of
physical activity. We want to encourage our students to try new activities. We will be offering Yoga,
Pilates, Just Dance and cardio activities. As well, guest speakers will share ideas on fitness, and nutrition.
Finally, healthy snacks will be provided to try. All students and parents of M.E. Callaghan are welcome to
come and have some fun. Also, Grade 6 parents and students are welcome from the Elementary Schools.

PAINTING CLASS – CHILDREN AGES 0 TO 6
There will be a painting class for children ages 0 to 6 with artist Lynn Gaudet on Tuesday, April 16th from
6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. This FREE class sponsored by Cap

Take Off Pounds Sensibly is a non-profit organization to help you lose weight. Whether you have 10
pounds or 100 pounds to lose, come learn how to lose weight sensibly and have fun doing it! We meet
every Tuesday, with weigh-in from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. followed by a meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the
Tignish Medical Centre. Please enter through the back entrance. Cost is $32 for the year and $2 every
week.

LEARN TO RUN PROGRAM
Learn to Run 5K Tignish - 10-week walk to run program starting on Wednesday, April 17th at 6:30
p.m. at Bi-Centennial Park. The program will be lead by Maria LeClair.
Learn to Run 5K St. Louis - 10-week walk to run program starting Thursday, April 18th at 6:30 p.m. at
M.E. Callaghan Jr. High School. The program will be lead by Joanne MacRae and Dee Barnett.

BLUEGRASS & OLDTIME MUSIC
There will be NO Acoustic Jam at the St. Louis Community Center on Friday, April 19th due to other
commitments. The Acoustic Jams will resume on Friday, April 26th.
A reminder that the St. Louis Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Campout will run from June 28th to June
30th.
SALT FISH SUPPER
Le Club des Coeurs joyeux invite you to come out to a salt fish supper, which includes bacon, chow-chow,
vegetables, along with dessert, tea, and coffee, on Friday, April 19th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the
Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. Cost is $12.50 ($10 for members). An alternative meal will be offered to
those who do not like salt fish.

The family of the late Marguerita Doucette would like to thank everyone who attended the wake and the
funeral. A big thank you to Fr. Jacques for the wonderful service and to Anita and her choir for singing
mom’s favorite hymns. We thank the C.W.L. for their prayer service and honor guard at the funeral home
and the church, and for serving at the mass. Thank you to the lay ministers, pall bearers, honorary pall
bearers, and funeral directors. Thanks to Audrey Ellsworth for her kindness and very professional service.
Thanks to all who sent cards, donations, masses, food, and to those who prepared everything at the
reception. We really appreciated everything. May God bless each and every one of you!
