TIGNISH AND PALMER ROAD COMMUNITY BULLETIN
If you wish to place an announcement in the Community Bulletin, you can leave your notice at our
office; send it in by fax, phone or e-mail. Announcements must now be received no later than
WEDNESDAY AT NOON in order to be published for the same weekend. There will be a $20
charge per article, if the group or individuals has not in some way donated or contributed to
sponsor the Community Bulletin. The length of the notice should be no longer than 4 lines. If you
would like a copy of our policies, please contact the office at 882-0475, ext. 147.

ST-LOUIS COMMUNITY CENTER – NIGHT OF MUSIC
There will be no music this Sunday, March 31st due to Easter.
Join us for a night of entertainment on Sunday, April 7th at 7:30 p.m. with music by Edith
Gaudet and Friends. Admission is $5. A light lunch will be served. Everyone welcome.

COMMUNITY OF MIMINEGASH
The Miminegash Community Centre and Fire Hall is an EMO (Emergency Measures
Organization) site where you can go for help in the event of an emergency or disaster such as a
flood, power outage, ice storm, etc. This is a designate area where people can go to obtain first
aid, water, and other necessities during an emergency.
ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP
The Alzheimer’s Support Group will be meeting on Thursday, April 4th at 1:30 p.m. at the Tignish
Seniors Home Care Co-op, located at 116 MacLeod Lane. The group meets the first Thursday of

TIGNISH FIGURE SKATING CLUB ANNUAL MEETING
The Tignish Figure Skating Club Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 6:30 p.m.
at the Tignish Credit Union Arena. Come out to see how our Club did the past season. The Club
is looking for Board Members.
BLUEGRASS & OLDTIME MUSIC
Join us for acoustic jamming every Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the St. Louis Community Center.
Admission is $3. There will be a door prize and light snack. Bring your instruments, partner,
and friends. Come enjoy an evening of good music!
The St. Louis Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Campout is hosting a Bluegrass & Oldtime Show
on Saturday, April 6th at 7:00 p.m. at the newly renovated St. Louis Community Center. The
show will feature three bands and a surprise band. Door prize will be given out and light lunch

A reminder that the St. Louis Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Campout will run from June 28th
to June 30th.
ROAST BEEF DINNER
Join us for a delicious roast beef dinner on Sunday, April 7th beginning at 12:00 noon at the
Palmer Road Community Centre. Dinner consists of roast beef with all the trimmings, dessert,
tea, and coffee. Cost is adults $10 and children aged 12 and under $5. Proceeds will go towards
the up-keep of the Hall.
DÎNER AU RÔTI DE BOEUF
Venez nous joindre pour un délicieux dîner au rôti de boeuf le dimanche 7 avril débutant à midi
au Centre Communautaire de Palmer Road. Le dîner consiste d’un rôti de boeuf avec toutes les
garnitures, dessert, thé et café. Le coût est 10$ pour adultes et 5$ pour les enfants âgés de 12
ans. Les profits iront pour l’entretien de la salle.
BINGO
The Tignish T.O.P.S. Relay for Life team will be holding a booklet bingo on Sunday, April 7th at
2:00 p.m. at the Tignish Legion. There will be lots of beautiful prizes to be won along with a grand
prize of a T.V. You can purchase a book of 12 for $10 or a book of 6 for $5. Canteen service and
50/50 tickets will be available. Please come out and show your support for this worthy cause.

The community of Tignish Shore is seeking persons interested in the operation of a fully equipped
canteen take-out for the summer months through a lease agreement. Any interests will be

A Language Training course will be offered at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest starting the
week of April 15th. The 33 hour program is offered one evening a week from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00

Learn to Run 5K Tignish - 10-week walk to run program starting on Wednesday, April 17th at
6:30 p.m. at Bi-Centennial Park. The program will be lead by Maria LeClair.
Learn to Run 5K St. Louis - 10-week walk to run program starting Thursday, April 18th at
6:30 p.m. at M.E. Callaghan Jr. High School. The program will be lead by Joanne MacRae and
Dee Barnett.
