IWK FESTIVAL IN THE PARK
The IWK Festival in the Park will be held at the Bicentennial Park Sunday, May 24th from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Rain location will be the Credit Union Arena. Some of the activities: music by Brian (Barney) Arsenault &
Friends, 50/50 draw, tickets to win a quilt, BBQ, Cavendish Farms Fry Cart, Tim Horton’s coffee, cotton
candy, popcorn, candy apples, face painting, balloon animals, pony rides, lots of games and other activities.
Horse Pull start time: 1:30 p.m. behind the Bicentennial Park. Come out and join in the fun and help support
this worthy cause!

Le comité de parents de l’Arc-en-ciel vous invites a leur Souper/Encan qui aura lieu le vendredi 5 juin
débutant à 18h30 au Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. Un souper à la dînde sera servi et divertissement à
suivre après l’encan. Billets sont 20$ chaque (19 ans et plus). Vous pouvez procurer vos billets au Centre

SUPPER/AUCTION
The Parents’ Committee of l’Arc-en-ciel are inviting you to their first Supper/Auction fundraiser, which will be
held on Friday, June 5th starting at 6:30 p.m. at le Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. A turkey dinner with
all the trimmings will be served and entertainment to follow the auction. Tickets are $20.00 per person (19
years and older) and you can purchase these at the Centre or by calling 882-0475 (opt. #2). Bar services
will be available. Only 150 tickets to be sold and must be purchased by June 1st. More information will be
available on a later date. If you would like to donate an item for the auction, please contact the Centre at 8820475 (ext. 183). Your donation will be greatly appreciated!
M.E. CALLAGHAN HOME & SCHOOL
M.E. Callaghan Home & School will be hosting an Indoor Yard Sale on Friday, May 29th at M.E. Callaghan
Home & School. Tables can be rented for $10 each. Please call Kelly at the School (882-7354) is you are
interested. If you have items that you would like to donate to Home & School’s table, you can drop them off
at the school. The Yard Sale will run from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. with canteen service available (vendors will be
able to set-up from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.) Please come out and support our Home & School!

Access PEI will be closed on Monday, May 18th for Victoria Day. Also, starting June 1st we will be opening
at 8:00 a.m. and closing at 4:00 p.m. for the summer months.

A french language early childhood eduation program will be offered in the fall 2009 at le Centre acadien de

SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM - ONE YEAR CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
This Program prepares graduates to enter the field of business, providing the skills in training for
advancement into the management of small businesses or owning and managing their own small business.
The course begins September 9th at the Dalton Centre in Tignish. Program graduates will also be eligible

Thursday, May 21st Jamboree beginning at 8:00 p.m. featuring Johnny D’s. Admission $5.00. 50/50, light
lunch served and door prize. Night of great music. Everyone welcome.
Saturday, May 23rd Come out for a great night of music to the Bluegrass Concert featuring Bluefield Grass
(the Hay Family from Bluefield), SK Bluegrass, Bethany Coughlin and other local talent. There will be 50/50,
door prize, hot dogs, fudge and tickets on gift basket, truck load of juniper (cut and split) and wooden wishing
well. Beginning at 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. followed by jamming if anyone is interested afterwards.
Admission is $5.00 per person. Proceeds go towards St. Louis Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Campout.
