ST. PATRICK’S DAY EVENT AT THE PALMER ROAD COMMUNITY CENTER – CANCELLED
Please be advised that the St. Patrick’s Day event that was scheduled for Saturday, March 16th at the
Palmer Road Community Center has been cancelled.

e Come out to the Tignish Legion on Sunday, March 17th, and take part in the St. Patty’s Day fun!
Start the day with a fantastic breakfast at the Branch, available every Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to
11:00 a.m. Then enjoy a delicious Jigs Dinner served between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (meal
tickets available in advance at the Branch for $15). Dinner will be followed by Trivia in the Lounge
at 7:00 p.m. Dance the night away at our Irish pub with music by 45 Knots from 9:00 p.m. to
12:00 a.m.
e On Saturday, March 30th, come out for Pub Night with Joey Doucette in the Lounge from 10:00
p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
L’IMPARTIAL REVISITED: PAST AND PRESENT CHALLENGES
The Sister Antoinette DesRoches Historical Committee invites you to an activity (in French) on
Sunday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m., at the Acadian Museum, in Miscouche. Come and meet the Buotes
from Tignish who published the Island’s first French-language weekly. These visitors from the past will
read articles that appeared in the newspaper between 1893 and 1915. An entertaining and
educational rendezvous not to be missed! Door prizes and refreshments. Admission is free.

FIDDLING SHOW
We would like to invite the community to a concert to celebrate French awareness week. This FREE
event will take place on Sunday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest.
The show will feature a popular group from the Magdalen Islands called “La P’tite traite”, as well as
local musicians Steve Perry, Elaine Wedge, Victor Doucette, Cathy Doucette, Robyn Perry, and
special guests Peter Arsenault and Hélène Bergeron. Sponsored in part by the Fédération culturelle
de l’Î.-P.-É.
SPECTACLE DE VIOLON
Nous aimerions inviter la communauté à un spectacle pour célébrer les Rendez-vous de la
Francophonie. Ce concert GRATUIT aura lieu le dimanche 17 mars à 14h00 au Centre acadien de
Prince-Ouest. Le spectacle mettra en vedette un groupe populaire de les Îles-de-la-Madeleine

RELAY FOR LIFE BINGO
There will be a 50/50 and prize bingo at the Palmer Road Community Center on Thursday, March
21st at 7:00 p.m. Proceeds go to Relay for Life.
BLUEGRASS & OLDTIME MUSIC
Join us for acoustic jamming every Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the St. Louis Community Center.
Admission is $3. There will be a door prize and light snack. Bring your instruments, partner, and
friends. Come enjoy an evening of good music!
The St. Louis Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Campout is hosting a Bluegrass & Oldtime Show on
Saturday, April 6th at 7:00 p.m. at the newly renovated St. Louis Community Center. The show
will feature three bands and a surprise band. Door prize will be given out and light lunch will be

A reminder that the St. Louis Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Campout will run from June 28th to
June 30th.
ACTIVE START – AGES 3 TO 6
Active Start is a free physical activity program for children ages 3 to 6 being offered on Saturdays at
Hernewood Junior High at 9:30 a.m. and M.E. Callaghan Junior High at 11:00 a.m., starting March

Le Centre l’Arc-en-ciel, preschool centre, is organizing a family bingo as a fundraiser for the Centre on
Sunday, March 24th at 6:00 p.m. at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest. The cost is adult $10,
students $5, and 5 years and under $2. Come out for a chance to win some nice prizes. Don’t forget
your bingo chips!

The Miminegash Fire Department would like to sincerely thank all those of participated, donated
prizes, or helped out in any way at our annual ATV Fun Run that was held on February 23rd. It was a

RED CLAY FESTIVAL – ANNUAL MEETING
The Red Clay Festival will hold its Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the
Tignish Elementary School. All are welcome to attend.
INTERESTED IN LEARNING FRENCH?
A Language Training course will be offered at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest starting the week
of April 15th. The 33 hour program is offered one evening a week from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for 11
weeks. The cost is $200. The night of the week chosen for classes is based upon the preference of
