TIGNISH DRAMA CLUB
The Tignish Drama Club will present their Christmas play “A Bit of Christmas Faith” on Sunday,
December 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Tignish Parish Center. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for students, and
preschoolers are free.

Take off pounds sensibly is a non-profit organization to help you lose weight. Whether you have 10lbs or
100lbs to lose come learn how to lose weight sensibly and have fun doing it. We meet every Tuesday,
weigh-in from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m with meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Tignish Medical Centre. Enter
through the back entrance. Cost is $30 per year to join, then $2 weekly.
COMMUNITY OF TIGNISH
The Council’s Regular Monthly Meeting will be held on Monday, December 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the
Municipal Office located at 101 b Railway Street. Residents are encouraged to attend.
TIGNISH RECREATION DEPARTMENT
• This is the last week for the After School Program which will be held on Tuesday, December 13th and
Wednesday, December 14th.
• The Community Decorating Challenge will be held on Monday, December 19th at 6:00 p.m.
• New Year’s Eve in the Park will be held on Saturday, December 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Fireworks, entertainment, free food, hot chocolate, and more!! Join us for a fun evening!
• There will be a Santa’s Workshop on Saturday, December 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the
Tignish Fire Hall. Come out to decorate a Christmas cookie, make a Christmas craft, and write your
letter to Santa! Santa’s special mail box will be on site to make sure he gets all the girls and boys
letters! $5 per child.

goes to “Stacy’s Arsenault Breast Cancer Team” to raise money to help find a cure for Breast Cancer. If

TIGNISH CHILDREN’S WITH CHRISTMAS HOUSE TOUR
The “Children’s Wish Christmas House Tour” will take place on Sunday, December 18th beginning at
6:00 p.m. Thank you to those who offered their homes as part of the Tour. Nicole & Jeddy Buote, Barb
Shea-Gaudet & Ivan Gaudet, Maria & Gary Gaudet, Jim & Bernie Cobham, Lois & Kenny McRae, Dot &
Edward Martin, Carmella & Ernest Pitre. Lunch (chili, roll, dessert, and tea/coffee) will be served at the
Tignish Heritage Inn following the Tour. Tickets are $15 per person and only available at Antrim’s.
ST. SIMON & ST. JUDE NIGHT OF SACRED MUSIC
Please join us for a magnificent evening of Christmas music on Monday, December 19th at 7:00 p.m. in
the Church featuring our church choirs, soloists, all our catechism children, a live nativity, and more! This
is a wonderful way to make a final preparation for Christmas. Cost: free will offering (proceeds to the

TIGNISH ADULT ED/GED WINTER CLASSES
Do you want to get your grade 12 GED Diploma? If you are 18 years or older, you can sign up now for
classes starting on January 3rd, 2012 at the Dalton Centre in Tignish. These classes are FREE and run
from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, Monday to Friday, from January 3rd to May 4th. Sponsored by

We, the family of the late Terry Arsenault, would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support
during our recent time of sorrow. Thank you to Rooney’s Funeral Home for your professional care and
attention. To everyone who sent flowers, cards, masses, and made donations in Terry’s memory. Thank
you to those who prepared meals and brought food to our homes and to the reception, and to the CWL for
serving a lovely luncheon. To the Pall Bearer and honorary Pall Bearers (who were everyone in
attendance), to Denny and Vincent for the lovely music, to the readers, and to the lay ministers. A special
thank you to Fr. Brandon for a beautiful service and especially at the Funeral Home for helping Terry’s
grandchildren understand what happened to their “Papa”. A sincere thank you and God bless you all!

in order to win or the draw will continue until there is a winner. On December 21st, there will be two
