Journée nationale du denim
Le 16 mai, portez des jeans au travail et affichez votre soutien à un
merveilleux organisme national : la Fondation Cure. Celle-ci subventionne
la recherche pour le cancer du sein et célébrera cette année la 10e Journée
nationale du denim. Portez du denim et faites un don minium de 5 $. Vous
pourrez déposer votre don, le 16 mai, dans l’un des deux kiosques de la
Fondation Cure – l’un situé à l’entrée de la rue Légaré (entre 7h et 13h30) et
l’autre situé dans l’Atrium (entre 9h30et 14h). Pour plus d’information,

Conférence de la International Schizophrenia Foundation
La International Schizophrenia Foundation, en collaboration avec l’HGJ,
présente Mental Health Regained: An Evening with Margot Kidder. Cette

Semaine des soins infirmiers à l’HGJ
La Semaine des soins infirmiers 2006 de l’HGJ se

de la Semaine des soins infirmiers s’affaire à
organiser de nombreux événements dont le troisième
Barbecue de la Semaine des soins infirmiers.

National Denim Day
Wear jeans to work and support a great cause on the 10th Anniversary
National Denim Day, which takes place Tuesday, May 16! A suggested $5
donation will enable participants to wear denim and donate funds to the
Cure Foundation, a national organization that provides funding for research
into breast cancer. To participate, please make your donation at one of the
Cure Foundation’s booths on May 16: at the Légaré entrance (7 a.m. to
3:30 p.m.) and in the Atrium (9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.). For more information,

International Schizophrenia Foundation lecture
The International Schizophrenia Foundation, in conjunction with the JGH,

JGH Nursing Week 2006 takes place May 8 to 12,

Offices de la prière de l’après-midi
Les offices de la prière juive de l’après-midi (minha) se déroulent chaque
après-midi à l'HGJ. Cependant il est de plus en plus difficile d'obtenir le
quorum nécessaire de 10 hommes, afin que les offices puissent prendre
place. Si vous avez quelques minutes de libres, votre participation aux
offices de minha serait grandement appréciée.

Afternoon services
Jewish minha (afternoon) services continue to be held regularly in the JGH.
However, there has been increasing difficulty in consistently gathering a
quorum of 10 men whose presence is needed before the service can take
place. If you can spare a few minutes a day to help keep the minha service
going, your participation would be greatly appreciated.
When: Every week, Monday through Thursday, 1:45 to 2:00 p.m.

Faites partie du Festival Jazz HGJ 2006
Le Festival Jazz HGJ est de retour ! Il se déroulera du 27 juin au 7 juillet
2006. Nous sommes toujours à la recherche de musiciens et de chanteurs
qui souhaitent partager leurs talents avec patients et personnel. Les
membres du personnel hospitalier qui souhaitent faire partie du festival
sont priés de communiquer avec Bryan Highbloom, au poste 2895. Il sera
possible d’obtenir de l’équipement et des musiciens d’accompagnement
pour ceux qui se produisent en solo.

JGH Jazz is back! The 2006 JGH Jazz Festival runs from
June 27 to July 7. We are always on the lookout for
musicians and performers who would like to share their music and talent
with patients and staff. Hospital staff members wishing to perform are
invited to call Bryan Highbloom at local 2895. Equipment and back up
musicians will be provided for solo performers.

Pour souligner l’ouverture officielle du Centre de bien-être de L’espoir
c’est la vie de l’HGJ, le médecin peu conventionnel Patch Adams, donnera
une conférence intitulée The Joy of Living. La conférence est ouverte à
tous.

Service d’accueil de l’HGJ
Vous souhaitez faire une différence ? Joignez-vous à l’équipe du Service
d’accueil de l’HGJ. Nous avons besoin de bénévoles serviables et
dynamiques pour aider ceux qui franchissent les portes de l’hôpital à
trouver leur chemin, facilitant ainsi leur visite à l’hôpital. Faire partie de
l’équipe du Service d’accueil c’est bien plus que donner des directions,
c’est offrir une aide personnalisée à tout celui qui entre à l’HGJ. Le
Service d’accueil de l’HGJ est une initiative du Comité de l’humanisation

JGH Greeters
Do you want to make a difference? Become a JGH Greeter! Friendly and
dynamic volunteers are needed to assist people in finding their way through
the hospital in order to simplify the hospital experience. The JGH Greeter’s
job goes far beyond just giving directions – it’s about offering personalized
care to everyone who walks through the doors of the JGH. The JGH Greeter
service is offered under the auspices of the Humanization of Care
