Service commémoratif
Le Service de la pastorale tiendra un service inter-religieux à la mémoire de
ceux qui sont décédés à l’Hôpital dans les mois de février, mars et avril.
Quand: Le vendredi, 10 juin, midi à 13 h 00.
Où: Auditorium Samuel S. Cohen (Pavillon A)
Journée du Denim
Merci à tous ceux qui ont pris part dans la Journée nationale du
denim 2005, qui a eu lieu le 10 mai. L’HGJ a versé 700.00 $ à la
Fondation CURE pour la recherche dans le cancer du sein.
Téléthon
Chaque année la Fondation de l’HGJ contacte environ 16 000 personnes qui,
par le passé, ont fait un don à l’hôpital. Cette année, la Fondation prévoit
faire un suivi téléphonique, car communiquer de vive voix avec quelqu’un
peut générer davantage de dons. Nous avons besoin de bénévoles pour faire
ces appels : le lundi, 20 juin, le mardi, 21 juin et le mercredi, 21 juin, au
bureau de la Fondation (A-107) de 18 h 00 à 21 h 00. Ensemble nous
pouvons faire une différence. Info : poste 2235.
Conférences – Service de gynécologie et obstétrique
Les conférences du Service de gynécologie et obstétrique auront lieu les
vendredis à 8 h 00, dans l’Amphithéâtre Block.
10 juin : « Statistiques obstétricales » avec la Dre Marie-France Lachapelle
et la Dre Louise Miner.
Rapport annuel avec le Dr Apostolos Papageorgiou.
Journée de prévention des maladies du coeur et des accidents
vasculaires cérébraux
Le Dr Jeffrey Minuk (Division de neurologie) et l’auteur et animateur à la
radio, le Dr Joe Schwarcz seront les orateurs pour la Journée des maladies
du coeur et des AVCs de l’HGJ, qui aura lieu le 16 juin. Le Dr Minuk
donnera sa conférence à 10 h 00 et le Dr Schwarcz, à midi, dans
l’Amphithéâtre Block. Des kiosques d’information seront situés à l’entrée de
la rue Légaré ainsi qu’au premier étage, Pavillon G et ce, de 9 h 30 à
15 h 00. L’événement est gratuit est ouvert au public. Des rafraîchissements
seront servis et il y aura un tirage de prix. Info : poste 4120.
Calendrier pour vaincre le cancer du sein
Une équipe du Week-end pour vaincre le cancer du sein de l’ILD a créé Le
calendrier pour vaincre le cancer du sein. Ce calendrier présente 18 femmes
qui travaillent à l’HGJ et offre de l’information préventive ainsi que des faits
sur la recherche du cancer. Tous les profits seront versés au Week-end pour

Memorial Service
The Department of Pastoral Services will hold an inter-faith service in
memory of those who passed away in the hospital in February, March and
April.
When: Friday, June 10, noon to 1:00 p.m.

Denim Day
Thanks to everyone who participated in National Denim Day 2005, which
took place on May 10. The JGH raised $700.00 for the CURE Foundation’s
efforts in supporting research into breast cancer.
Phone-a-thon
Each year the JGH Foundation sends out an appeal for funds to
approximately 16,000 individuals who have made donations to the hospital
in the past. This year, the Foundation is planning a follow-up phone-a-thon,
as personal contact with donors often generates additional contributions.
Volunteers will be needed to help make these calls on Monday, June 20,
Tuesday, June 21 or Wednesday, June 22, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the
Foundation office (A-107). Together, we can make a difference! Info: local

Grand Rounds
Grand Rounds for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology take place
Fridays at 8:00 a.m. in the Block Amphitheatre.
June 10: “Obstetrical statistics” with Dr. Marie-France Lachapelle and Dr.
Louise Miner.

Heart & Stroke Health Day
Dr. Jeffrey Minuk (Department of Neurology) and
author and radio host Dr. Joe Schwarcz will be the
featured speakers at the JGH’s Heart and Stroke
Health Day on June 16. The lectures will take place in the Block Amphitheatre. Dr. Minuk will speak at 10:00 a.m. and Dr. Schwarcz at noon.
Information booths will be located at the Légaré entrance and in Pavilion
G, 1st floor, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and
prizes will be raffled. Info: local 4120.
The Calendar to End Breast Cancer
A Weekend to End Breast Cancer team from the LDI has created “The
Calendar to End Breast Cancer,” which contains pictures of 18 women who
work at the JGH. The calendar contains informative cancer prevention tips
and facts about cancer research. All proceeds go to the Weekend to End

Week-end pour vaincre le cancer du sein
Le kiosque du Week-end pour vaincre le cancer du sein sera de retour dans
le hall de l’entrée principale, le jeudi, 16 juin de 9 h 00 à 15 h 00. L’équipe
de la Fondation de l’HGJ Le Don de Guérir invite toutes les équipes et les
marcheurs à saisir cette occasion pour venir promouvoir cet évènement et
vendre de la marchandise, pour les aider à atteindre leurs objectifs de levée

The Weekend to End Breast Cancer
The Weekend to End Breast Cancer booth will be back in the
main lobby on Thursday, June 16, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00
p.m. The JGH Foundation's team, "The Power to Heal," invites
all JGH Weekend to End Breast Cancer teams/walkers to help raise
awareness about the event and to take this opportunity to sell products to

synopsis of past activities and highlights, by department or division. For
