Für den Betrieb unter Windows 9x/ME/XP sind keine Treiber erforderlich, sie sind Bestandteil
des Betriebssystems.

• Vor dem An- oder Abstecken von PS/2-Geräten an den PC ist der PC auszuschalten und von
der Netzspannung zu trennen.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
• Wenn Ihr PC mehrere PS/2-Schnittstellen hat, so beachten Sie das Handbuch zu Ihrem PC
bzw. zu dem Mainboard, welche der PS/2-Schnittstellen für eine Maus geeignet ist.
Das Produkt ist zum Anschluss an einen IBM-kompatiblen PC vorgesehen (PS/2- oder USBAnschluss) und dient dort z.B. zur Bedienung des Betriebssystems.

• Der mitgelieferte PS/2-/USB-Adapter funktioniert nur mit der mitgelieferten Maus. Falls Sie
an dem Adapter andere Geräte anstecken, so kann das angesteckte Gerät, der Adapter oder
das Mainboard beschädigt werden.
• Die USB-Maus (oder eine USB-Tastatur) wird unter DOS oder auch dem abgesicherten
Modus von Windows in der Regel nicht erkannt. Möglicherweise verfügt das BIOS/Setup
Ihres PCs/Mainboards über entsprechende Unterstützung. Diese Option könnte z.B.
"Legacy-Support for USB" o.ä. heißen.
Merkmale
• Bei Notebooks ist der Parallelbetrieb eines bereits im Notebook vorhandenen Steuergeräts
(z.B. Touchpad) und einer PS/2-Maus evtl. nicht möglich. Schalten Sie dann versuchsweise
das interne Steuergerät des Notebooks im BIOS/Setup des Notebooks aus oder stecken Sie
die Maus einfach am USB-Port an.

• Der optische Sensor auf der Unterseite der Maus arbeitet auf manchen Oberflächen nicht
korrekt, z.B. auf Glas oder glänzenden, spiegelnden Oberflächen.
Verwenden Sie dann ein geeignetes Mauspad.
Betrieb am USB-Port
Zum Betrieb ist mindestens Windows 98 erforderlich.
Verbinden Sie den USB-Stecker der Maus mit einem freien USB-Port Ihres PCs. Der PC braucht
dabei nicht ausgeschaltet werden.
Windows erkennt die Maus automatisch, die benötigten Treiber sind in Windows enthalten.
• Kontrollieren Sie gelegentlich den optischen Sensor, ob sich Staubpartikel auf ihm abgesetzt
haben und entfernen Sie sie mit einem weichen Pinsel.
Betrieb am PS/2-Mausport
Schalten Sie Ihren PC aus, trennen Sie ihn von der Netzspannung (gleiches gilt, wenn Sie die
Maus wieder abstecken möchten!). Andernfalls kann das Mainboard beschädigt werden!
Verbinden Sie den USB-Stecker der Maus mit dem mitgelieferten Adapter.
Stecken Sie den PS/2-Stecker des Adapters in den PS/2-Mausport Ihres PCs ein. Wenn Ihr PC
über mehrere PS/2-Ports verfügt, so beachten Sie das Handbuch zu PC oder Mainboard, um
den korrekten Anschluss zu finden.

• Switch off the PC and disconnect it from the mains voltage prior to plugging PS/2 devices to
or unplugging from the PC.
Prescribed use
• If your PC has several PS/2 interfaces refer to the manual of your PC or main board to find
out which of the PS/2 interfaces is suitable for use with a mouse.
The product is intended for connection to an IBM compatible PC (PS/2 or USB port) and, for
instance, serves for controlling the operating system there.

Operation on a USB port
Operation requires at least Windows 98.
Connect the USB plug of the mouse to a vacant USB port of your PC. While doing so, you need
not switch the PC off.
Windows will identify the mouse automatically, the drivers you need are included in Windows.
• The PS/2-/USB delivered along with the mouse will only function with the mouse delivered.
If you plug different devices to the adapter this can cause damage to the devices plugged,
the adapter or the main board.
• As a rule, the USB mouse (or a USB keyboard) will not be identified under DOS or even the
protected Windows mode. The BIOS/Setup of your PC/main board will possibly include an
appropriate support. For instance, the name of this option could be "Legacy support for USB"
or the like.
• In a notebook case, it is perhaps impossible to operate in parallel a controller which exists in
the notebook already (e.g. a touch pad) and a PS/2 mouse. In such a case, tentatively switch
off the internal controller of the notebook in the BIOS/Setup of the notebook or simply plug
the mouse to the USB port.
• The optical sensor mounted at the underside of the mouse does not operate properly on
some surfaces, e.g. on glass or shining, reflective surfaces.
Use an appropriate mouse pad in such a case.
• Occasionally check up the optical sensor for the existence of dust particles which deposited
on it. Remove them with a soft brush.
Operation on a PS/2 mouse port
Switch your PC off, disconnect it from the mains voltage (which also applies if you want to
unplug the mouse again). The main port could otherwise be damaged.
Connect the USB plug of the mouse to the adapter that was also delivered.
Insert the PS/2 plug of the adapter into the PS/2 mouse port of your PC. If your PC has several PS/2 ports refer to the manual of the PC or main board to find out the correct connection.

Trucs et astuces

Fonctionnement sur port USB
Au moins Windows 98 est nécessaire au fonctionnement.
Branchez la fiche USB de la souris à un port USB libre de votre ordinateur. L’ordinateur n’a pas
besoin d’être éteint pour brancher la souris.
Windows reconnaît la souris automatiquement, les pilotes nécessaires sont déjà compris dans
Windows.
• Une souris USB (ou un clavier USB) ne sera généralement pas reconnue sous DOS ou en
mode de sauvegarde de Windows. Il est possible que le BIOS/Setup de votre ordinateur/carte mère dispose du support correspondant. Cette option s’appelle éventuellement "LegacySupport for USB" ou similaire.
• Sur les portables (Notebooks), le fonctionnement parallèle d’un appareil de commande (par
ex. un Touchpad) et d’une souris PS/2 n’est éventuellement pas possible. Essayez alors d’éteindre l’appareil de commande interne du portable dans le BIOS/Setup de celui-ci ou branchez tout simplement la souris à un port USB.
• Le capteur optique sur le dessous de la souris ne fonctionne pas correctement sur certaines
surfaces comme par ex. le verre ou des surfaces brillantes et réfléchissantes. Utilisez alors
un tapis souris approprié.
• Contrôlez de temps à autre le capteur optique pour vérifier que des particules de poussière
ne s’y agglutinent pas et enlevez-les à l’aide d’un pinceau souple.
Fonctionnement sur port souris PS/2
Eteignez votre ordinateur et débranchez-le du courant (même chose quand vous voulez
débrancher la souris !) Autrement, la carte mère pourrait être endommagée !
Branchez la fiche USB de la souris à l’adaptateur joint.
Branchez la fiche PS/2 de l’adaptateur au port souris PS/2 de votre ordinateur. Au cas où votre ordinateur possèderait plusieurs ports PS/2, prenez en compte les instructions contenues

Voor het gebruik onder Windows 9x/ME/XP zijn geen stuurprogramma´s nodig, ze zijn een
onderdeel van het besturingssysteem.

• Vooraleer u PS/2 apparatuur op de PC aansluit of loskoppelt, moet u de PC uitschakelen en
van de netspanning loskoppelen.
Correcte toepassing
• Als uw PC meerdere PS/2 poorten heeft, ga dan in het handboek van uw PC of het moederbord na welke PS/2 poort geschikt is voor een muis.
Het product is geschikt voor de aansluiting op een PC compatible computer (PS/2 of USB aansluiting) en heeft als functie de bediening van het besturingssysteem.
Leveringsomvang
• De meegeleverde USB-PS/2 adapter mag enkel samen met deze muis gebruikt worden.
Indien u andere apparatuur op de adapter aansluit, kunnen de adapter, het aangesloten
apparaat en het moederbord beschadigd raken.

• Een USB muis (of een USB toetsenbord) wordt onder DOS of ook in de veilige modus van
Windows in de regel niet herkend. Eventueel beschikt de BIOS/setup van uw PC/moederbord
over een USB ondersteuning. Deze optie luidt b.v. "Legacy Support for USB" e.d.

• Bij notebooks is het eventueel niet mogelijk om de cursorbesturing van de notebook (b.v.
touchpad) samen met een PS/2 muis te gebruiken. Schakel dan bij wijze van proef de interne cursorbesturing van de notebook in de BIOS/setup uit of verbind de muis gewoon met een
USB poort.
• De optische sensor aan de onderkant van de muis zal op bepaalde oppervlakken niet correct
werken zoals b.v. glas of andere oppervlakken die blinken of spiegelen.
Gebruik dan een muispad.
Aansluiting op een USB poort
Voor het gebruik is ten minste Windows 98 nodig.
Verbind de USB stekker van de muis met een vrije USB poort van uw PC. De PC hoeft niet uitgeschakeld te worden.
De muis wordt automatisch herkend. De benodigde stuurprogramma´s zijn een onderdeel van
Windows.
• Controleer regelmatig of er stofdeeltjes op de optische sensor zijn en verwijder deze met een
zachte kwast.
Aansluiting op een PS/2 muispoort
Vooraleer u de muis aansluit, moet u de PC uitschakelen en deze van de netspanning loskoppelen (doe dit ook als u de muis wilt loskoppelen!). In het andere geval kan uw moederbord
beschadigd raken!
Verbind de USB stekker van de muis met de meegeleverde adapter.
Verbind de PS/2 stekker van de adapter met de PS/2 muispoort van uw PC. Als uw PC meerdere PS/2
poorten heeft, ga dan in het handboek van uw PC of het moederbord na welke poort geschikt is.
