Das Produkt ist zum Anschluss an einen USB-Port eines Computers vorgesehen; dort dient es
als externe Soundkarte.

Funktion der Bedientasten
• Mit den Tasten „VOL+“ und „VOL-“ kann die Gesamtlautstärke der Audiowiedergabe verändert
werden.
• Die Taste „MIC MUTE“ schaltet ein evtl. angeschlossenes Mikrofon stumm. Dabei leuchtet die
LED unter dem Mikrofonsymbol auf.
• Mit der Taste „VOL MUTE“ wird die Audiowiedergabe stumm geschaltet.
Tipps & Hinweise
• Unter DOS oder im abgesicherten Modus von Windows funktioniert USB nicht (oder nur eingeschränkt für USB-Tastatur/-Maus). Die HD-SoundBox kann hier nicht betrieben werden.
• Wählen Sie ggf. in der Systemsteuerung von Windows die richtige Soundkarte aus (interne
Soundkarte bzw. Onboard-Sound bzw. die HD-SoundBox).
Nach dem Anstecken der HD-SoundBox an den Computer ist diese normalerweise automatisch aktiviert und funktionsbereit. Die Power-LED leuchtet auf.
• Der Mikrofoneingang muss möglicherweise erst aktiviert bzw. ausgewählt werden, damit z.B.
über ein Headset entsprechende Aufnahmen möglich sind. Diese Einstellung ist bei Windows
XP bzw. Windows Vista in der Systemsteuerung durchzuführen bzw. in den Einstellfunktionen
der mitgelieferten Software.
Mit dem bei Windows integrierten Audiorecorder können einfache Aufnahmeversuche
gemacht werden, um den Mikrofonpegel richtig einzustellen bzw. um zu überprüfen, ob die
Einstellungen in der Systemsteuerung richtig vorgenommen worden sind.
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden
Installation der Treiber
Starten Sie Ihren Computer und warten Sie, bis das Betriebssystem vollständig geladen ist.
Legen Sie dann die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende Laufwerk Ihres Computers ein.
Sofern das Installationsprogramm nicht automatisch startet, so öffnen Sie z.B. mit dem
Dateimanager von Windows die CD und starten Sie das darauf befindliche Installationsprogramm. Folgen Sie allen Anweisungen der Software.
Möglicherweise ist danach ein Neustart von Windows erforderlich.
Anschluss an den Computer
Verbinden Sie nach der Treiberinstallation (siehe oben) die HD-SoundBox mit dem mitgelieferten USB-Kabel mit einem freien USB-Port Ihres Computers. Windows erkennt neue
Hardware und schließt die Treiberinstallation ab.
Wenn Ihr Computer bereits über eine Soundkarte verfügt (z.B. Onboard-Sound des
Mainboards), so kann z.B. bei Windows XP/Vista in der Systemsteuerung zwischen der
bisherigen Soundkarte und der HD-SoundBox umgeschaltet werden. In der Regel ist die HDSoundBox nach dem Anschluss an den Computer automatisch die bevorzugt verwendete
Soundkarte.

Functions of the control buttons
• With the keys “VOL+” and “VOL-” the total volume of the audio playback can be changed.
• By using the button “MIC MUTE” you can mute a connected microphone. By doing so, the LED
under the microphone symbol lights up.
• With the button “VOL MUTE” the audio playback can be muted.
Tips & Notes
• USB does not function when DOS or Windows are in safe mode (or only restricted to USB keyboard/mouse). The HD Sound Box cannot be used here.
• Select the correct sound card from the Windows control panel, if necessary (internal sound
card or onboard sound or the HD Sound Box).
After connecting the HD Sound Box to the computer, it normally activates automatically and is
ready for use. The power LED lights up.
• You might have to activate or select the microphone input first to enable e. g. recordings via a
headset. This setting is to be done in the control panel with Windows XP or Windows Vista or
in the setting function of the software provided.
With the sound recorder integrated in Windows you can test the sound recording, to adjust the
microphone recording level or check if the system settings are correct.

Switch your computer on, and wait until the operating system has completely booted up.
Place the CD included in delivery in the corresponding drive of your computer. If the installation
program does not start automatically, open the CD using the Windows file manager and start the
installation program contained on the CD. Follow the software instructions.
Restarting Windows may be required afterwards.
Connection to the Computer
After the driver installation (see above) connect the HD sound box to a free USB port of your
computer by means of the USB cable provided. Windows recognises the new hardware and
completes the driver installation.
If your computer already has a sound card (e.g. Onboard Sound on the Motherboard), you can
switch between the installed sound card and the HD Sound Box, e.g. in Windows XP/Vista in the
control panel. Normally, after connection to the computer, the HD Sound Box is the sound card
that is used preferably.

Conseils & indications
• Normalement, USB ne fonctionne pas sous DOS ou en mode sécurisé de Windows (ou
uniquement de façon limitée pour le clavier et la souris USB). La SoundBox HD ne peut pas
être utilisée ici.
• Choisissez, si nécessaire, dans le panneau de configuration de Windows la carte son correcte
(carte son interne ou carte son Onboard ou SoundBox HD).
Après le raccordement de la SoundBox HD à l’ordinateur, celle-ci est normalement activée
automatiquement. La LED d’alimentation s’allume.
• Il est peut-être nécessaire d’activer ou de sélectionner l’entrée microphone pour permettre des
enregistrements p. ex. via un casque micro. Ce réglage doit être effectué sous Windows XP
ou Vista dans le panneau de configuration ou au moyen des fonctions de réglage du logiciel
joint.
Avec l’enregistreur audio intégré dans Windows, vous pouvez effectuer des essais d’enregistrement afin de régler le volume du microphone ou afin de vérifier si les réglages dans le
panneau de configuration ont été correctement effectués.
Elimination
Procéder à l’élimination du produit au terme de sa durée de vie conformément aux
dispositions en vigueur.
Installation du pilote
Démarrez votre ordinateur et attendez jusqu’à ce que le système d’exploitation soit complètement chargé.
Insérez ensuite le CD joint dans le lecteur correspondant de votre ordinateur. Si le programme
d’installation ne démarre pas automatiquement, ouvrez le CD p. ex. avec le gestionnaire de
fichiers de Windows et lancez le programme d’installation qui s’y trouve. Suivez toutes les
instructions du logiciel.
Un redémarrage de Windows peut être ensuite nécessaire.
Raccordement à l’ordinateur
Après l’installation du pilote (voir ci-dessus), raccordez la SoundBox HD au moyen du câble USB
contenue dans l’étendue de la fourniture à un port USB libre de votre ordinateur. Windows
détecte le nouveau matériel et termine ensuite l’installation des pilotes.
Si votre ordinateur dispose déjà d’une carte son (par ex. carte son onboard de la carte mère),
cela vous permet, avec Windows XP/Vista par ex., de commuter dans le système d’exploitation
entre l’ancienne carte son et la SoundBox HD. Après son raccordement à l’ordinateur, la
SoundBox HD est généralement la carte son prioritaire.

Werking van de bedieningstoetsen
• Met de toetsen „VOL+“ en „VOL-“ kan de totale geluidsterkte van de audioweergave worden
gewijzigd.
• De toets „MIC MUTE“ schakelt een evt. aangesloten microfoon mute. Daarbij knippert de LED
onder het microfoonpictogram.
• Met de toets „VOL MUTE“ wordt de audioweergave mute geschakeld.
Beoogd gebruik
Tips & aanwijzingen
Het product is bedoeld voor de aansluiting op een USB-poort van een computer; daar dient het
als externe soundkaart.
Dit product voldoet aan de voorwaarden van de nationale en Europese wetgeving. Alle
voorkomende bedrijfsnamen en productaanduidingen zijn handelsmerken van de betreffende
eigenaren. Alle rechten voorbehouden.
• USB werkt niet onder DOS of in de beveiligde modus van Windows (of alleen beperkt tot USBtoetsenbord/muis). De HD-SoundBox kan hier niet gebruikt worden.
• Kies eventueel bij Configuratiescherm de juiste soundkaart (interne soundkaart resp. onboard
sound resp. de HD-SoundBox).
Na het aansluiten van de USB-Headsetadapters op de computer is deze normaal gesproken
automatisch geactiveerd. De power-LED gaat branden.
• De microfooningang dient misschien eerst geactiveerd resp. gedeactiveerd te worden, zodat
bijv. via een headset overeenkomstige opnames mogelijk zijn. Deze instelling dient bij
Windows XP resp. Windows Vista in het Configuratiescherm te worden uitgevoerd resp. in de
instelfuncties van de meegeleverde software.
Met de bij Windows geïntegreerde geluidsrecorder kunnen eenvoudige opnametests worden
gedaan om het microfoonniveau juist in te stellen of om te controleren of de instellingen bij
Configuratiescherm juist werden ingesteld.

Installatie van de stuurprogramma´s
Schakel uw computer in en wacht tot het besturingssysteem volledig opgestart is.
Plaats dan de meegeleverde CD in het betreffende station van uw computer. Indien het
installatieprogramma niet automatisch start, open dan de CD bijv. met Windows Verkenner en
start het zich daarop bevindende installatieprogramma. Volg alle aanwijzingen van de software.
Het kan zijn dat Windows daarna opnieuw dient te worden opgestart.
Aansluiting aan de computer
Verbind na de installatie van het stuurprogramma (zie boven) de HD-SoundBox met de meegeleverde USB-kabel met een vrije USB-poort van uw computer. Windows herkent nieuwe hardware en sluit de installatie van het stuurprogramma af.
Als uw computer reeds een soundkaart heeft (bijv. onboard sound van het moederbord), kunt u
bijv. bij Windows XP/Vista bij Configuratiescherm tussen de soundkaart van de computer en de
HD-SoundBox omschakelen. In de regel is de HD-SoundBox na de aansluiting op de computer
automatisch de bij voorkeur gebruikte soundkaart.
