PRÉSUMÉS FRAUDEURS
« NETTOYEURS DE THERMOPOMPES »
ALLEGED FRAUDSTERS
“THERMO PUMP CLEANERS”
Le Service de la Sécurité publique de la MRC
des
Collines-de-l’Outaouais
enquête
présentement un cas de fraude présumée où un
homme communique avec un citoyen pour lui
offrir un service de nettoyage de sa
«thermopompe».
Les deux (2)
parties
conviennent alors d’un rendez-vous afin que le
travail soit effectué. Lors du rendez-vous, deux
(2) hommes se présentent à la résidence pour
effectuer le travail. Le montant facturé pour le
travail est de 700 $ et payable comptant, par
chèque ou carte de crédit. Dans ce cas précis,
le plaignant paie le tout comptant et on lui remet
une facture factice identifiée au nom de
«Gestion Bioclimat», ce qui serait une
compagnie inexistante.
The Public Security Service of the MRC des
Collines-de-l’Outaouais is currently investigating
a case of suspected fraud where a man contacts
a citizen to offer his “thermo pump” cleaning
services. Both parties set an appointment in
order to have the work completed. At the time of
the appointment, two (2) men show up at the
residence to do the job. The fee for this work is
$700.00, payable by cash, cheque or credit
card. In this precise instance, the plaintiff
elected to pay the whole amount in cash and
received a fake invoice identified in the name of
“Gestion Bioclimat”, which is a non-existent
company.
Lors de la présumée opération de nettoyage, les
suspects vaporisent seulement une substance
dans la thermopompe, ce qui prend environ
quinze (15) minutes seulement. Il est à noter
que la facture ne comporte aucune taxe. Les
suspects utiliseraient une vannette de couleur
blanche et un des individus s’identifie comme
étant un prénommé Marco Denis. Selon
certaines informations, le même stratagème
aurait été utilisé dans la région de la HauteGatineau.
During the presumed cleaning operation, the
suspects only vaporise a substance in the
thermo pump, which takes approximately fifteen
(15) minutes. It should be pointed out that the
taxes are not included in the invoice. The
suspects would be travelling in a white van and
one of the individuals would identify himself as
Marco Denis. According to other information,
the same ploy would have been used in the
Upper-Gatineau area.
