DÎNER AU RÔTI DE BOEUF
Venez nous joindre pour un délicieux dîner au rôti de boeuf le dimanche 4 mai, débutant à 12 h 00, au
Centre Communautaire de Palmer Road. Le dîner consiste d’un rôti de boeuf avec toutes les garnitures,
dessert, thé et café. Le coût est 10 $ pour adultes et 5 $ pour les enfants âgés de 12 ans ou moins. Les
profits iront pour l’entretien de la salle.
ROAST BEEF DINNER
Join us for a delicious roast beef dinner on Sunday, May 4th, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at the Palmer
Road Community Center. Dinner consists of roast beef with all the trimmings, dessert, tea, and
coffee. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 12 and under. Proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the Hall.
ROYAL STAR FOODS - TIGNISH FISHERIES

The Fishmart is now open for the season. The hours of operation are Sunday, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.,

Le public est invité à une causerie, en anglais, au Musée acadien, à Miscouche, le dimanche 4 mai, à 14
h 00. La conférencière, Sœur Della Gaudet, à l’aide d’histoires et d’images, donnera un aperçu des
événements qui ont mené à la fondation à Miscouche du premier couvent-école rural à l’Î.-P.-É. Les
religieuses fondatrices sont arrivées à l’Île la même journée, le 1 septembre 1864, comme les délégués qui
arrivaient pour la Conférence de Charlottetown. Entrée gratuite; dons appréciés.
MISCOUCHE COMMEMORATES HISTORICAL 1864 EVENT
The public is invited to a lecture, in English, at the Acadian Museum, in Miscouche, on Sunday, May 4th, at
2:00 p.m. The speaker, Sister Della Gaudet, using stories and images, will walk us through the events that
led to the founding in Miscouche of the first rural convent-school in P.E.I. The founding sisters arrived in
PEI the same day, September 1st, 1864, as the delegates arriving for the Charlottetown Conference. Free
admission; donations appreciated.
ST. LOUIS COMMUNITY CENTRE – NIGHT OF MUSIC
There will be music at the St. Louis Community Centre every Sunday, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission
is $5. A light lunch will be served. All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the Hall. Come out for a
great evening of music on Sunday, May 4th, with performances by Keelin Wedge, Tracy Gallant, Steven
Perry, Andy Doucette, Monique Pendergast-Doucette, and Jerome Arsenault. Then join us again on
Sunday, May 11th, for a fantastic night of music with Linda Costain & Girls.

COMMUNITY OF MIMINEGASH
The Miminegash Community Centre and Fire Hall is an EMO (Emergency Measures Organization) site
where you can go for help in the event of an emergency or disaster such as a flood, power outage, ice
storm, etc. This is a designate area where people can go to obtain first aid, water, and other necessities
during an emergency.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly is a non-profit organization to help you lose weight. Whether you have 10 lbs.
or 100 lbs. to lose, come learn how to lose weight sensibly and have fun doing it! We meet every
Tuesday, beginning with weigh-ins from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and a meeting at 6:30 p.m., at the
Tignish Medical Centre. Please enter through the back entrance. Cost is $32 for the year and $2 every

 May is Healthy Eating Month. Each week at playgroup, we will have our Little Chefs learn about

children under 12 months are welcome.
 The Belly Talk Networking Group meets every second Thursday (May 15th), from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00

 Kids West FREE Pool Party is on Tuesday, May 27th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, at the Rodd Mill
River Aquaplex. All families with children ages six and under are welcome.
 Positive Parenting from Two Homes is taking registrations for the two night course on June 5th and
12th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Kids West Centre, in Alberton. CONFIDENTIALITY will be

Leona & Friends, SK Bluegrass, Heartfelt Bluegrass, and more. There will be door prizes, tea, coffee,
and a light lunch served.
