Saviez-vous que les Acadiennes de l’Île ont été les dernières femmes à porter le costume traditionnel
français en Acadie, et même au Canada? Pour en savoir davantage sur ce costume et son histoire à
l’Î.-P.-É., rendez-vous au Musée acadien, à Miscouche, le mardi 2 août, à 19h30. L’historien, Georges
Arsenault, y fera une causerie illustrée (en français) intitulée « Le vieil habit français des Acadiennes
de l’Île ». Entrée gratuite. Dons appréciés.
TUESDAY TALKON THE TRADITIONAL ACADIAN DRESS (IN FRENCH)
Did you know that the Acadian women of Prince Edward Island were the last women to wear the
traditional “French dress” in the Maritimes, and even in Canada? To learn more on this costume and
its history on P.E.I., join us at the Acadian Museum, in Miscouche, on Tuesday, August 2nd, at 7:30
p.m. Historian, Georges Arsenault, will present an illustrated talk (in French) on the old French costume
worn by Island Acadian women. Admission is free.
SUMMER BOWLING
Summer bowling is held every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at the Tignish Parish Centre bowling lanes.

LOT 7 CEILIDH
The Lot 7 Ceilidh takes place every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m at St. Mark’s Hall in Burton, Rte
14. Entertainment for Thursday, August 4th will feature Guinness and the Irish Duo, Jim & Laura
Farrell. Lunch, door prize, and 50/50 will provide a fun night for all!

Rév. S.-É.- Perrey inc. vous offre une comédie intitulée «Mme Padidé.» La pièce écrite et dirigée par
Raymond Arsenault promet d’être une soirée de plaisir où vous pourrez apprécier nos mets et notre
musique acadienne, Léona Perry étant la directrice musicale. Les représentations auront lieu les 4, 11,
18. et 25 août. Les billets sont 15$ pour adultes et 8$ pour enfants. Venez passer une soirée relaxante
au Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest, où le spectacle débute à 19h00. Service de bar disponible.

V’NEZ CHOU NOUS ACADIAN THEATRE
For it’s 22nd edition of the V’nez Chou Nous theatre, Le Comité culturel de Prince-Ouest, and Le Conseil

represent P.E.I. at the Atlantics in Newfoundland.
