ORGANISTE INVITÉ
Jean-Willy Kunz, organiste en résidence de l'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, présentera un récital d'orgue le
dimanche 15 septembre à 10 h 30 à l'église Saint-Simon et Saint-Jude, à Tignish. Pendant la messe de 11 h 00, il
va accompagner du chant liturgique et il va interpréter quelques pièces instrumentales. La compagnie Juget Sinclair
facteurs d'orgues parraine ce concert. Tous sont les bienvenues.

ROYAL STAR FOODS - TIGNISH FISHERIES
The hours of operation for the Fishmart are Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, from 10:00
a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and closed Sunday. We have oysters, mussels, quahogs, fresh frozen bar clams, fresh fish, and
live lobster.

Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. is offering a French writing course beginning October 8 . The sessions will be held every
Tuesday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for 10 weeks. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who needs to
review basic grammar: parents wanting to help their children, employees providing services in French, or people who
want to improve their writing skills. The cost is $150. The sessions will be offered on site at Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É., in

The library is now operating under fall hours. The hours of operation are as follow: Tuesday and Thursday, from

The Miminegash Community Centre and Fire Hall is an EMO (Emergency Measures Organization) site where you
can go for help in the event of an emergency or disaster such as a flood, power outage, ice storm, etc. This is a
designated area where people can go to obtain first aid, water, and other necessities during an emergency.

HEALTH CARD. The cost for Kidskate to level 2 is $143 for 40 sessions of an ½ hour each, levels 3 to 6 is $255 for
40 sessions of ¾ of an hour each or $147 for 20 sessions of ¾ of an hour each, and Starskate is $433 for 40 sessions

Ec Cetera is a free program for seniors (age 50 and older) who want to learn about interesting activities like

A resident’s meeting is called for Monday, September 23 , at 7:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Municipal Office for
the purpose of clearing of sidewalks of snow. As this is a new service, it will result in a property tax increase.
Residents are urged to attend to vote on whether or not to provide this service.

be offering classes on fiddle, guitar, digital camera (must have an SL camera), art, quilting, craft-a-night,
woodworking, rug hooking, healthy cooking, fly tying, roman blinds (sewing class with Wilma Jones), and public
speaking by Edith Hogan (branch of toast master program). Registration fee is $15 for 10 weeks. Some classes will
require extra costs for supplies.

Come out and enjoy a great evening of entertainment on Sunday, October 6 , at Westisle Composite High School at
7:30 p.m. with singers such as Dwayne Doiron, Michael Myers, Cory Gallant, Sandra Jones, Bruce Jones, Connie
LeClair, Chad Matthews, as well as other local talent. There will be tickets available on 25 lbs. of lobster donated by
Arsenault's Fish Mart, as well as 50/50 tickets and a water and fudge sale. Admission is $10. All money raised will
go to Children's Wish to help grant wishes to children with high-risk, life threatening illnesses. If you would like more
