LOUIS COMMUNITY CENTER – NIGHT OF MUSIC th A night of great music for everyone at the St. Louis Community Center on Sunday, February 9 , featuring Linda Costain & Girls. WESTERN REGION SPORT AND RECREATION Try Biathlon - Biathlon PEI and the WRSRC are offering a free demonstration to the sport of Biathlon, for th children age 8 to 14, at Mill River Ski Park on Monday, February 10 , from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to try a new sport! Contact Alison for more information. th Sweetheart Moonlight Snowshoe Excursion - Celebrate Valentine's Day on Friday, February 14 , with your sweetheart, friends or family at Trout River Natural Area with a moonlight snowshoe excursion, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a campfire, free hot chocolate, and snacks. New members most welcome. T.O.P.S. Take Off Pounds Sensibly is a non-profit organization to help you lose weight. Whether you have 10 lbs. or 100 lbs. to lose, come learn how to lose weight sensibly and have fun doing it! MIMINEGASH FIRE DEPARTMENT FESTIVAL th There will be a meeting on Monday, February 17 , at 7:00 p.m., at the Miminegash Fire Hall, to plan events for the th th th Miminegash Fire Department Festival on July 18 , 19 and 20 . Anyone residing in the Miminegash Fire District who would like to share their ideas or who are interested in volunteering their time, are welcome to attend the meeting. TIGNISH CREDIT UNION ARENA FUNDRAISER – COLD PLATE DINNER st The Tignish Credit Union Arena will be selling cold plate dinners as a fundraiser on Friday, February 21 . Plates are $10 each and consist of ham, turkey, potato salad, coleslaw, roll, and dessert. Anyone interested in purchasing a plate, please call 882-3853 or 856-0673. Plates can be picked up at Royal Star Foods between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or delivery is available. Order early to avoid disappointment. Thank you for your support! 50/50 BINGO nd There will be a 50/50 Bingo at Miminegash Fire Hall on Saturday, February 22 , beginning at 2:00 p.m. This bingo is to help raise money for Jesse Todd, who is travelling to New Zealand in March to complete his final 6 weeks of University training to become a teacher. There will be 50/50 tickets sold as well as some refreshments. Cost is $12.50 ($10.00 for members). An alternative meal will be offered to those who do not like salt fish. TIGNISH HEALTH CENTRE th The Annual Volunteer Dinner will be held on Friday, February 28 ,at the Tignish Legion. Because of your time and dedication, the Bargain Basement has been a great success for the Health Centre and we would like to show our appreciation for all that you do. The evening will be filled with entertainment, lots of laughs, auction, and a very good supper. Evening begins at 5:00 p.m. We hope you all can attend and have a great time.
