I n 1921 t h e Lakeshore Mining Co. acquired about 1 2 claims
running from t h e l a k e s h o r e up t h e h i l l and covering a s t r i p of
ground between t h e Florence and Highlaiid p r o p e r t i e s . The Early
Bird c l a i m may have been included i n t h e Lakeshore Co. property.
The Kootenay-Florence Mining Co. Ltd. acquired t h e property of
t h e Lakeshore Mining Co. i n 1928.
The owner of t h e p r o p e r t y i n 1949 was a Mr. P r i n g l e of
London, England. H e gave a n o p t i o n t o F.W. Robinson. An o l d
