Ses commentaires ont reçu un accueil très favorable des marchés qui se orientés à la hausse. Les marchés anticipent désormais de nouveaux assouplissements monétaires en mars. Mario Draghi a ajouté que la BCE avait «beaucoup d'instruments et en particulier la volonté d'agir» face au bas niveau de l'inflation et à l'absence de croissance. Nous pensons que le niveau très bas des prix à la consommation et l'atonie de la croissance en zone euro obligeront la BCE à prendre d'autres mesures. Nous tablons sur des commentaires dovish en février et un élargissement du QE en mars. (cal) Comité de placement: aucun changement en janvier Après avoir déjà tenu une séance extraordinaire en début d'année, le Comité de placement de la Banque CIC (Suisse) a décidé, lors de sa réunion du 21 janvier 2016, de ne procéder à aucun changement. Pondérations régionales: Suisse - neutre (inchangé); Europe neutre (inchangé); Etats-Unis - neutre (inchangé); EMMA - forte sous-pondération (inchangé). La sous-représentation des actions ainsi que la nette souspondération des matières premières et des marchés émergents se sont révélées judicieuses en termes relatifs. Après un début d'année difficile, le Comité de placement continuera de suivre de près l'évolution des marchés afin de profiter d'une possible reprise de ces derniers. EUR/USD: divergence monétaire entre la BCE et la Fed (EUR/USD 1.0925) La BCE a prolongé son programme de rachat d'actifs au moins jusqu'à mars 2017 (EUR 60 mrd/mois depuis mai 2015). La Fed a interrompu sa politique expansive en décembre 2015 et relevé les taux de 0,25%. De nouvelles hausses de taux sont prévues (3 en 2016 et 4 en 2017 de 25 pb respectivement). Depuis des mois, cette situation favorise l'USD au détriment de l'EUR. La Fed remplira-t-elle les attentes du marché? Probablement pas. Les nombreuses incertitudes liées à la croissance de l'économie (mondiale également) laisseront des traces et inciteront la Fed à la prudence. Les taux seront peut-être encore relevés en mars et/ou en juin, mais pas au-delà. Le cours EUR/USD restera donc sous pression et pourrait bientôt atteindre 1.0500. (Forex) EUR/CHF: plus stable que prévu (EUR/CHF 1.0950) La BNS ne cesse de répéter que le franc suisse est nettement surévalué. Depuis des mois, on ne parle plus d'inflation mais de déflation, ce qui empêche un changement de cap monétaire. Compte tenu des actuelles turbulences boursières, il faut s'attendre, notamment de la part de la BCE, à de nouvelles mesures visant à soutenir les marchés (p. ex. taux négatifs plus élevés). Cela accentuerait encore la pression sur l'euro et obligerait éventuellement la BNS à engager de nouvelles mesures. Depuis des mois, le cours EUR/CHF évolue à l'horizontale entre 1.0600 et 1.1050, et la situation ne devrait guère changer durant ces prochaines semaines. (Forex) USD/CHF: jouet de l'EUR/USD (USD/CHF 1.0000) La politique monétaire divergente entre la BCE et la Fed parle en faveur de l'USD tant que la crédibilité ne sera pas menacée. L'économie américaine se porte (encore) mieux que sa consœur de la zone euro. Révisés à la baisse par le FMI, les chiffres de croissance de l'économie mondiale commandent la prudence et réduisent à néant les projets de hausses des taux dans de nombreux pays. A court terme, nous tablons sur un raffermissement USD/CHF, mais recherchons des opportunités de vente entre 1.0200 et 1.0500. Si la Fed ne relève pas ses taux, l'USD pourrait ensuite se déprécier, ce qui ne surprendrait personne (objectif de cours fin 2016: 0.95).
