Didier Reynders reçoit des représentants de l’opposition en RD Congo
Le vice-Premier Ministre et Ministre des Affaires Etrangères Didier Reynders a reçu ce midi des
représentants de l’opposition en République Démocratique du Congo (RDC), qui se sont réunis ces
derniers jours à Genval. La Belgique salue le travail de rassemblement effectué cette semaine afin de
parvenir à des positions communes de l’opposition.
Le Ministre Reynders espère que cela se traduira par un réel échange entre la majorité et l’opposition,
dans un cadre propice, tel que souhaité par l’Union Africaine. Cela doit s’inscrire dans le cadre de la
Résolution 2277 (2016) du Conseil de Sécurité des Nations-Unies en vue d’un démarrage du processus
électoral.
Didier Reynders ontvangt oppositieleden van Democratische Republiek Congo in Brussel
Vicepremier en minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Didier Reynders heeft vanmiddag in het
Egmontpaleis in Brussel leden van de oppositie van de Democratische Republiek Congo (DRC)
ontvangen. De oppositieleden zaten de afgelopen dagen bijeen in Genval. België is tevreden met de
samenkomst van de oppositie deze week om tot gezamenlijke standpunten te komen.
Minister Reynders hoopt dat dit zal leiden tot een echte uitwisseling tussen meerderheid en oppositie,
in een gunstig klimaat, zoals de Afrikaanse Unie dat wenst. Dat moet deel uitmaken van resolutie 2277
(2016) van de VN-Veiligheidsraad om het verkiezingsproces in de DRC op gang te brengen.
Didier Reynders meets with opposition representatives from DR Congo
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders this afternoon received
representatives of the opposition from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), who met in recent
days in Genval. Belgium welcomes the common efforts displayed this week by the opposition to reach
common positions.
Minister Reynders hopes that this will result in a real exchange between the majority and the
opposition, in a setting as desired by the African Union. It should be conducted within the framework
of Resolution 2277 (2016) of the United Nations Security Council in view of a start of the electoral
process.
