Julien de Smedt on the design “The Crushed bowls show big-scale architecture
applied on small scale objects. The bowls are composed of equilateral triangles and
principles we use for big-scale computer modeling. Adding human ergonomics and
aesthetics to the equation we have derived a series of vessels that are carefully crushed
for everyday use”

DESCRIPTION
The Crused bowls can be used for multiple purposes. The small bowl is perfect for snacks, while
the large bowl can be used for salads or as a fruit
bowl. The possibilities are endless.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Julien De Smedt is a Copenhagen based, internationally acclaimed architect. He is recognized
for his ability to always take a fresh look at things.
His works challenge conventions and many have
been awarded. At only 29 years old he won the
Golden Lion for world’s best concert hall at the
Venice Biennale. Julien De Smedt was co founder
of PLOT.
