Mañana es mañana Cridacompany After On the Edge (2007), Aïe (2010) and Malabo (Cabaret Crida – 2011) Julien Vittecoq and Jur Domingo extend their creative work with a new show, Mañana es mañana. Gabriel Agosti and Anicet Léone join them on stage, forming an innovative quartet that blurs the boundaries between disciplines and allows for brand new keys of interpretation. "Cridacompany counts seven years of existence, between Midi-Pyrénées and Catalonia. Avid experimenters of songs, silences and body states and mastering the art of capsizing feelings by blowing along the froth of words, its members act like a small creation factory - with the heart of a traveler and the soul of a poet. From the minds of the two acrobatic dancers who comprise the team - Jur Domingo and Julien Vittecoq - arise multiple creations: danced forms proceeding by the association of sounds and ideas brought from here and there; concerts among friends, improbable performances and juggling of little elements, photos exhibiting rather uncontrolled hazards - all being trivial fragments torn from the here and now, whose emotions arise through the hole of the cracks they dig in our everyday life. (...) Mainly inspired by street theater and trained at the Lido, Toulouse's Circus Arts Center, the artists remain free and unclassifiable, embracing creation from every possible resource. In this apparently nonsensical context, Mañana es mañana was born and created by four voices, along with Gabriel Andrès Agosti and Anicet Leone, arising from pain and feelings, to pitch the circus drunkenness and confuse the dance all the more. " Lise Ott Text translated from Montpellier Dance Festival’s 2013 program ARTISTIC SHEET Cridacompany is a franco-catalan company settled in Toulouse France, born in 2006 after two artists, Jur Domingo Escofet and Julien Vittecoq, met at the Lido (the centre for circus art in Toulouse). Together, they offer powerful and strange performances, where virtuosity is closed to the invention of a new language between circus, dance and song. Using body as essential material, they work on hitch and distortion. From this emerge characters and situations imbued with a puzzling humor. They make light of the body and its possibilities. In a bare style, they enjoy themselves casting an original glance over situations. Cridacompany is producer of their shows, exhibitions and concerts, in France, in Spain, and over the world. Cridacompany is associated to CIRCa, national center for circus arts. « At the beginning there are sensations, energies : powerlessness, anger, rage… These feelings feed our way of acting. What feeds us is what is human, the “people”, the animals. Our approach is not intellectual. It is a cry coming from the body rather than the mind. We are discovering and exploring a way of writing, a language expressed through the body. Our identity is being built on a language which we want to be singular». Julien Vittecoq and Jur Domingo Mañana es Mañana is the fourth creation of the company, and the show will premiere at the Montpellier Dance Festival on the 2nd and 3rd of July, 2013.
