We are to take up our cross each day and follow Jesus.
The Messiah was expected to free the Jewish people from
oppression, and restore the freedom and holiness of their
nation. Jesus instead reveals that the Messiah will suffer, die
and be raised from the dead, and that true discipleship requires self-denial and sacrifice. Understanding this, let us take
up our cross each day and follow Jesus.

This weekend all parishes and Catholic communities in the
diocese are holding a special collection to support the needs of
retired priests. This special collection will assist those dedicated priests who are elderly, seriously ill or incapacitated and in
need of supplementary assistance.
As the number of retired priests increases every year, the
Priests’ Pension Plan will need to be adequately funded to
meet future needs Your generous contribution not only supports current retirees but will also help provide for the retirement needs of priests who will retire in the future. Say “thank
you” to our retired priests by giving to the Priests’ Pension
Plan. Your donation shares the same love and generosity that
diocesan priests have shown us for generations.

Graduations! We are quickly approaching the close of another school
year. This week, we will begin celebrating year end Masses at the church.
On Thursday, June 23rd with the students and staff of St. Ambroise at 9:30am. Monday, June
27th, with St Paul’s Mass at 10am and Tuesday, June 28th at
9:30am with Our Lady of the Annunciation. Parishioners are
always welcome and encouraged to attend. We extend our
sincere best wishes to those who are graduating from elementary or secondary school as well as those who will move
on to the next stage of their lives having completed college
or university. May God keep you in His loving arms.

‘CWL’ Merlin Shrine Day
Wednesday, July 20 - 9:30 am to 3:00 pm
Ladies this is a perfect day to enter the ‘Holy
Doors’ designated by Pope Francis at the
Merlin Shrine. There will be Mass, picnic
lunch (bring your own lunch/lawn chair),
rosary and way of the cross. The church is
air-conditioned, so no problem in rain or
high temperatures. Come out for a day of
