Closing out the Year of Mercy with Fr. Rob Galea
Fr. Rob Galea, an ordained priest presently serving in Australia
and a singer / songwriter, will be featured
at Youth Ministry’s Mercy Lived event at Holy Trinity Parish
in Woodstock on Friday, November 25th.
Fr. Rob’s passion is to draw others to the heart of God.
He believes that music is an important instrument in helping people
understanding the need for intimacy with God.

St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Parish is
hosting a screening of "Apparition Hill" the latest
movie about Medjugorje. It will be held on

Today we celebrate the solemnity of Our Lord Jesus, King of
the Universe. Our celebration invites us to acknowledge
Jesus not only as King of the
Universe, but also as the ruler of our
lives and hearts. One way to do this
is to begin each day with a prayer,
where we invite Jesus to be the ruler
of our lives and to use us in ways
he sees fit.

Annual Collection for Our Parish
Cemeteries: During the month of November, we
honour the deceased. One way we can honour them
would be to make a monetary contribution to one of our
4 cemeteries. Envelopes for that purpose are available on
the table in the narthex. Please clearly indicate to which
cemetery you wish your donation to go to. Cheques must
be made payable to Visitation Parish, so that the amount
being donated can be added to your income tax receipt at
the end of the year.

nous honorons les défunts et défuntes. Une des façons de
les honorer serait de faire une contribution monétaire à
un de nos 4 cimetières. Des enveloppes pour ces fins sont

CWL November General meeting will be on
Monday, November 21 @ 7 pm. At this meeting we will
hold elections for our new executive for the upcoming
2017/2018 term. Afterwards, we will be assembling
Christmas baskets for Chez Nous Lodge and St. Joachim
Manor residents – please bring in your gifts for these. You
may also bring to this meeting your donations of new hats,
mitts, scarves, socks and underwear for “Heat for the
Streets”. We will also be asking for volunteers to help us to
deliver our CWL Christmas greetings to the Shut-ins of our
parish. You will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets
for our Christmas Dinner which will take place on Friday,
Dec. 2 @ the Good Neighbour club in Belle River. Check
below for details. Hope to see you there!
Installation of new Eucharistic Ministers will be
next weekend (November 26 and 27th) during all
masses. If you did not have time to sign up after
mass today indicating which mass you will be attending,
then please call the office to let us know.

Attention: Nouveau Ministres de l’Eucharistie
L’installation des nouveaux Ministres de l’Eucharistie se
fera la fin de semaine prochaine (26 et 27 novembre)
pendant toutes les messes. Si vous n’avez pas inscrit votre
nom à la liste, après la messe aujourd’hui, pour indiquer
quelle messe vous allez assister, s’il-vous-plaît téléphoner
au bureau pour nous aviser.
1000 Warm Wishes is a volunteer charity group
dedicated to helping families and homeless stay warm during
the winter. At this time they are no longer accepting plastic
bags for mats. The focus has changed to collecting yarn for
making blankets, hats, mitts and scarves. If you can help
place your yarn in the box (by Nov. 30th) located in the hall
lobby (even the smallest of scrap balls are a great help). All items
knitted will be donated to ‘Street Help’ and local shelters.
CWL Membership dues 2017 – we are collecting
membership dues for 2017. Dues are $25.00.
All memberships should be paid by January 1, 2017.
All members who have paid their dues by December 2nd
will have their names entered into a draw
for a free membership
The Visitation CWL Christmas Party will be
held at the Good Neighbour Club in Belle
River on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016. Social @
5:30 pm, Dinner @ 6:00 pm. Entertainment
will be provided. There will be Door Prizes
and a Free Membership Draw. We will also
be collecting new hats, mitts, scarves, socks
and underwear as well as “free will” donations for “Heat
for the Streets” for the Downtown Mission.
Cost: Members $15, Non-members $20. Don’t be
disappointed; purchase your ticket early as seating is
limited. Tickets must be purchased no later than Monday,
November 21st (General meeting night). For tickets or

The Closing of the Year of Mercy
Bishop Fabbro will celebrate the closing of the
Year of Mercy with Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral
on Sunday, November 20 at 7:30 pm.
All are invited to attend.
