27th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Daily prayer is essential in order to be open to the
workings of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit gives us the grace, gifts and strength needed
to put our faith into practice. We, in turn, must cooperate
with the Holy Spirit moving within us so that our lives may
bear good fruit for God. Let us set aside time to pray each
day in order to be attentive and responsive to the Spirit’s
promptings in our daily lives.

This being the year of Mercy, in gratitude to
God for His many blessings in our lives, we,
at Visitation Parish, would like to help those
who depend on Street Help at the Homeless
Shelter on Wyandotte Street in the city of
Windsor. At the Thanksgiving weekend
masses, Saturday and Sunday October 8th &
9th, we will have boxes provided for those
who would like to donate canned goods. Items needed are
canned mixed beans for salads, pork and beans, canned
chicken, turkey, ham, corned beef, peanut butter, jam,
ketchup, relish, mustard, barbecue sauce, bread, hotdog and
hamburger buns, powdered milk. Gift cards for NoFrills
would also be greatly appreciated to purchase perishables.
Street Help receives no government assistance and relies
totally on the goodwill of others.

Annual Parish Thanksgiving Appeal. Funds raised stay
within our parish to help minister to those in need, pay
day-to-day operating expenses and meet our financial
commitments. Please consider making a donation to this
