Repair Facility Consolidation Update
Dear Valued Customer,
The purpose of the letter is to provide you with updated information in regard to the consolidation of
our avionics and electrical systems repair facilities from Seattle, W A to Edison, NJ, as well as to give
you an update on the progress of our new Piscataway, NJ facility. Specifically, this letter will provide
the following information:
- 1) Guidance on when and where to send repairs;
- 2) Quality Assurance contact information;
- 3) Payment and remittance information;
- 4) Account team information; and
- 5) A Piscataway facility update.
Note that the information in this letter is not applicable to IFE repairs which will remain at our
Seattle, W A facility.
1. Repair
As was previously mentioned to you in the Customer Information Letter n°68 (CIL-68), the
consolidation of our avionics and electrical system repair capability is occurring in stages. In
order to identify when and where to send repairs during the consolidation period, the following
guidelines will apply:
The last day that repairs will be accepted in Seattle, W A is Sept 5. After that date, repairs should
be sent to:

Repairs sent to Seattle after Sept 5, will be automatically forwarded to the appropriate New
Jersey repair facility, unless we receive advance written instructions to return the unit to the
sender.

5. Piscataway facility update
Construction is progressing nicely on the new Thales Avionics Piscataway facility. As with any
complex move, we do expect there will be a level of performance disruption as we integrate and
stabilize operations under one roof. Please rest assured we have thoroughly planned the
transition in order to minimize the amount and length of any performance disruption you may
experience. To ensure the smoothest possible transition, Thales is delaying the final
consolidation from Edison to Piscataway to allow more time for proper integration of systems and
facilities. In the coming weeks we will be providing another written communication regarding the
final transfer to Piscataway to provide you with as much advance notice as possible of the final
move date.
