Context :
The training course takes place in the service
Synthetic Environment and Instruction,
within the team real-time Viewers / display.
Mission :
Within the framework of the development of new simulators (helicopter, aircraft,…) having for mission to
train the crews using the concepts of the virtual reality and the augmented reality, detection devices
postures (head, attitude, …) become major components of the quality of immersive training.
The target of this training course is to participate in the design of a detector of posture of head with camera.
The main stages will be:
• Appropriate knowledge of the existing system:
Main Feature of the existing system is a mono camera tracking a checkerboard optical pattern.
The mono checkerboard is the object to be the 3D pose estimation.

Improving the segmentation part:
Must become multiple checkerboards with different pattern and multiple camera
• Performance analysis and writing a report.
This is an academic research done in parallel with developers of the project, to give new ideas and
innovation matter to do this challenging project.
Searched profile:
3rd year of engineering school or MASTER DEGREE,
Interest for the aeronautical domain
Preferred Knowledge:
- Language C ++, C
- Analysis of image subpixel, calibration camera, pose estimation
- OpenCV, Computer Vision and Computer Graphic
- Signal processing, video
PC environment: Windows.
