Transfer of some repair & parts distribution activities
from Thales Avionics to Diehl Aerospace
Dear Customer,
As you may know, at the end of August 2000, Diehl VA Systeme Stiftung & Co. KG and ThomsonCSF Sextant S.A. (today acting under the name Thales Avionics S.A.) founded a joint avionics
equipment company named “Diehl Aerospace” (formerly known as “Diehl Avionik Systeme” in 2001).
Diehl Corporation holds 51% and Thales Avionics 49%. Diehl transferred all of BGT’s former “Control
and Navigation” activities as well as those of the former VDO Luftahrtgeräte W erk GmbH to this joint
company.
The foundation of Diehl Aerospace strengthens the partnership between the Diehl Corporation and
Thales Avionics which has existed for many years.
As consequence, we are pleased to inform you that Diehl Aerospace and Thales Avionics have
decided to reorganize some of their support activities.
We remain at your disposal for any further information you may need on this subject.
