THALES AVIONICS SA 18 avenue du Maréchal Juin - BP 49 92366 Meudon-la-Forêt Cedex France Tél. : +33 (0)1 39 45 50 00 Fax : +33 (0)1 39 45 50 30 www.thalesgroup.com CUSTOMER INFORMATION LETTER N° 66 Ind: 01 - May 16th, 2011 New Thales Avionics’ Distribution Network Dear Customer, The purpose of the Customer Information Letter (CIL) is to provide Customers with our new delivery conditions further to the redesign of the Thales “Avionics Service W orldwide” Supply Chain. A new distribution network, based on the principle of Direct Shipment, has been designed to increase efficiency and performance. This distribution network is made of three (3) Distribution Centres in charge of centralized management of the parts produced in their area. These Distribution Centres will deliver the parts to the Customer directly, while the current logistic scheme requires some internal stops in our distribution network, thus increasing global delivery lead time. This new distribution scheme will not have any impact on the current part ordering process. However, it will affect the delivery conditions of the concerned parts, as follows: 1/ FCA - free carrier Singapore international airport as per the INCOTERMS of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) for parts under Singapore distribution center. 2/ FCA - free carrier Newark or Seattle international airport as per the INCOTERMS of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) for parts under Edison (NJ) distribution center. 3/ FCA - free carrier Paris international airport as per the INCOTERMS of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) for all other parts. With regards to returned parts, the standard authorization process (RMA) will have to be coordinated through your usual point of contact who will give you all necessary instructions. Please note that this new distribution scheme will be implemented from May 16 th 2011. The transition to our new distribution network model may create some near-term gaps in the distribution process (e.g. acknowledgements may be slightly delayed during the transition period), but we have taken precautions in our scheduling for this change in process to help ensure any impact remains minimal. Furthermore, our supply chain and logistics teams are totally engaged and st committed to achieving a very smooth transition process that we expect to be completed by May 31 2011.
