Law Practice
Tina Aswad is an associate in the Montréal office of Stikeman Elliott and a member of the Employment and Labour Group.
Her practice covers the full range of labour relations, both individual and collective, allowing her to represent clients in
litigation, provide legal advice, and draft employment and consulting agreements as well as non-competition and nonsolicitation agreements.
In particular, Ms. Aswad specializes in directors’ and officers’ liability as well as in litigation related to wrongful dismissal
and to the application of non-competition and non-solicitation clauses in employment agreements.
As part of her practice, Ms. Aswad appears before all levels of Quebec civil courts, as well as before the Tribunal
administratif du travail (formerly the Commission des lésions professionnelles and the Commission des relations de travail
) and grievance arbitrators. For instance, she has numerous times successfully represented various clients in injunction
cases and other extraordinary remedies before the Superior Court of Quebec.
Ms. Aswad has also been involved in several corporate transactions and reorganizations.
Professional Activities
Ms. Aswad is a member of the Quebec Bar and the Young Bar Association of Montréal. She is also a member of the
Montreal office's Associates Committee and the Mentoring Committee.
She has given seminars on different employment and labour law topics, such as an employee’s obligation of loyalty and
non-competition clauses as well as the employer’s rights and duties in regards to social media.
