PROSPECTING PROJECT 31C12SE0001 W9590.00061 MARMORA 010 ROSS GOLD PROJECT A LOCATION Located in S.E. Ontario approximately 8 km. North-east of Marmora, Ont., between the villages of Marmora and Madoc. It is 200 km. E.N.E. of Toronto and about 4 km. North of highway #7(Trans-Canada) in the Southern Ont. mining division. It is located in Marmora township, Hastings county, Southern Ont. Mining Division The Marmora claim sheet is # G1270 Claim # SO 1194985. West half of Lot 11, Con 10 (Note: Tweed is the area office of the resident geologist). NTS sheet is Bannockburn 31 C/12 Edition 3 LATITUDE: 440 31'30" N. LONGITUDE: IT 3 6' 20" W GRID CO-ORDINATES on N.T.S. map are 930335. MNR: ONT.BASE MAP # Sheet 10 18 2900 —49300. Scale: 1:10,000 B LOCATION MAPS See accompanying maps C ACCESS See Ontario base map as a guide. Accumulated distance (km) j ! 1. Start at the junction of highway #7 and # 14 at the 4 corners in the village of Marmora. 0.0 i 2. Travel east on highway # 7 from the above starting point. Travel 4.4 km east to the junction of highway # 7 and Marmora County road #11. 4.4 j 3. Turn north (left) on county road #11. Travel 1.25 km to Deloro village (general store) 5.65 ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— 4. Turn left (north)on county road #11 for 1.3 km. to the intersection of county road 6.95 #11 and the "Moira Dam ' road. ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— 5. Turn right (east) on the "Moira Dam" road for 1.1 km. until you reach a parking 8.05 area at the Moira river conservation dam. Leave the vehicle at this point. j ;i |i i ! 6. Cross the control dam and follow the cut trail (ribboned) around the south end of the beaver pond for 700 meters. At this point you will be at a cut survey line running east and west. ;! 7. Travel east along this cut survey line for 250 meters and you will come across the #3 post for claim #SO 1114985 (survey iron bar at this location) j 8. Walk north on a north -south cut survey line for 310 meters. You will arrive at the south-west corner of a beaver pond, where the gold showing is located. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! | ' : D WORK Work is to be done on claim #SO 1194985 and adjacent potential claim to the immediate west. This claim to the west comes open on May 25,1995 and I will stake it immediately. SEE CLAIM MAP #G1270. E COMMODITY AND PROSPECTING TARGET Gold is the main mineral target. It is located in an altered granite or shear zone associated with the Deloro pluton. The main priority will be to find extensions of the gold bearing structures by grass roots prospecting, stripping and diamond drilling. Also it is hoped to find other shear zones on the property I now know that shear zones are associated with topographic lows.(beaver ponds and stream beds). The shear zones are altered granite with mineralized quartz veining.(see #F below) F DEPOSIT TYPE AND GEOLOGY The area to be worked is underlain by the Deloro pluton, a roughly circular body of granite and syenite about 13 km. in diameter The pluton intrudes typical Grenville metasediments, mainly impure calcitic marble with quartzites, greywackes and argillites which strike roughly parallel to the plutonic margins. Diorite is common along the western margins of the pluton and is within 0.25 km. of the present claim. Blocks and lenses of metasediments also occur in the altered granite and gold zone, possibly representing xenoliths carried by the intrusion. Gold Occurrence on the claim # SO 1194985: 1. veins consist of white quartz with minor carbonate, some pyrite, hematite, magnetite, arsenopyrite and visible gold 2. veins pinch and swell and vary in strike. 3. veins lie within a silicified zone with intense sericite alteration Property Geology The claim is underlain by massive to coarse grained pink granite of the Deloro pluton. The granite contains 30-4007o white to pale blue-gray, round quartz veins, SO-60% buff to pink feldspar and l-507o hornblende with accessory biotite. An altered zone of granite is of greenish-grey to greenish-red, sericitized granite. This altered zone hosts the gold mineralization. The primary structural feature is a 60" trend of alteration and represents a fault or shear system running parallel to the Moira river fault line located to the west of the claim. Mineralization The gold bearing veins consist of multiple, irregular variably-oriented, vuggy, hematitic, quartz veins within the sericitized granite. The granite within the mineralized zone shows alteration ranging from reddish hematite staining to intense alteration of the feldspars, producing a porphyritic texture in which pale blue, rounded quartz grains are set in a green, sericite matrix. The veins show yellow and red iron oxide staining and hematite is concentrated in vugs and fractures within the quartz system. The zone is located on the north—east side of a beaver pond, extends below the pond and re-appears on the southwest side of the pond. The zone is a classic example of "ground preparation" in a felsic intrusion through cataclastic deformation. The syn-plutonic deformation during passive emplacement of a magma can create a more fissile and schistose fabric around the margins of an intrusive body. Cataclastic deformation of intrusive and/or country rocks can create the appearance of a "porphyritic" texture within which the migration and circulation of fluids is facilitated.
