Q1. MTS2.1 Section 3. The wire management symbols can’t be placed specifically within the cad drawing
in their exact location. Can a “key” drawing be added that would indicate where their final recommended
location could be?
A1. Yes, providing a key drawing would be found acceptable.
Q2. Please clarify what “electrical capacity” means. Drawing can only indicate the location of outlets and
which panels are powered.
A2. “Electrical capacity” means that all panels are to have the ability to accept power and
data receptacles in the future.
Q3. MTS3.1 Please confirm that if no freestanding work surfaces are specified than the corresponding
Work Surface Deflection tests need not be submitted.
A3. This is confirmed.
Q4. a) 2. Code of Conduct 2.1 Please confirm if “Consent to a Criminal Record Verification” must be
submitted with the bid.
b) If so where are the forms?
A4 a). Please refer to Part 5 – CERTIFICATIONS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, Section
2.1 states: Bidders must submit with their bid, by the bid solicitation closing date.

Q5. Annex A2 6.3 The notes in this section are somewhat confusing. Are you in fact requesting that all
panels provided are to be powered and that complete wire harnesses ready to accept outlets be included?
Even panels that do not have outlets, are at ends of runs or are wing panels etc etc.
A5. All panels are to have the ability to accept power and data receptacles in the future.
Q6. 6.11 Given that the outlets are above work surface and the only electrical item provided is the task
light what is the horizontal wire management for?
We are not involved in the placement or quantity of end user hardware within the station so can not
determin potential requirements. Requirements for horizontal wire management should be determined
after move in and not form part of this contract.

A6. Under Section 6.0 Power/Communications, please delete: 6.11 Each workstation must
be provided with vertical and horizontal cable management systems to conceal any external
cables.
Q7. 8.1 This is very missleading. Are we to bid the quantity of storage as indicated on the drawing or not.
As it reads I would only supply the minimum requierment which is an overhead and a ped on floors 1-5
and half of 6 and for floors 6-8 only the stations within pods of four or singles would get an overhead, ped
and tower.
What do I supply in stations that are doubles or triples?
Another interpretation is that every station gets an overhead and ped and where indicated on the drawing
a tower is to be included.
Please clearify.
A7. The correct interpretation is that every station should get an overhead bin and a
pedestal and where indicated on the drawings a tower is to be included.
Q8. 10.0 Under this section you request that fabrics, finishes and edge details be supplied with the
submission but Annex A-1 Section A says within 14 days of award. Which is correct?
A8. Please include the fabrics, finishes and edge details within the bid package.
9Q.
Annex A-2 under Panels 5.3; You request complete selection 1) of standard fabric with recycled
content . Does standard mean Grade 1 or base if its meets all your other criteria?
9A. The request is to have the companies “standard” fabric with recycled content. The
“standard” is referring to what would be the normal offering of fabrics with recycled content.
Whether this is a grade 1 or base is up to the manufacturer as long as it is complaint with the
recycled content and other criteria.
10Q. We are reviewing this revised tender and we are not seeing any changes from the original design.
Was there any change to the plan? If minor, it would help to know what areas to save a lot of time.
10A. The original design has indeed been kept. There may be minor changes where there
was a pedestal or overhead bin missing or a wrong panel height. Unfortunately, we do not have a
list of the areas that were affected.
There have been changes to the solicitation document that include, but are not limited to
sections Part 4: Evaluation Procedures and Basis of Selection, Part 5: Certifications, and Annex A
- General Statement of Requirement.
Bidders should be aware of the requirement under Part 5, article 2. Code of Conduct
Certifications - Consent to a Criminal Record Verification.
It is the responsibility of the Bidders to ensure that they read the solicitation document in
its entirety and provide a bid that adheres to all of its requirements.

11Q. Annex A-1 Section A:2.Fabric Information. 3.Colours and Finishes Information. 4.Standard Edge
Information. All these state they are to be submitted within 14 days of Contract award. But Annex A2
10.1.2, 10.1.3,10.2.2, 10.3.7, 10.4.2, and 10.5.1 all say that the submission must include the finishes.
11A. Please include the fabrics, finishes and edge details within the bid package.
12Q. Could you verify if workstation 8044C should have a pedestal, tower, and work surfaces or just the
overhead bin that is showing? workstation 8040 C and D should they have storage towers. and
Workstation 7026G and H should they have storage towers.
12A. Workstation 8044C should have a pedestal and overhead bin. Workstations 8040C
and 8040D should have a pedestal and overhead bin. Workstations 7026G and 7026H should have
an overhead bin, storage tower and pedestal.
Q13. Please confirm Destination of Goods, Services and Construction on page 1 of the RFP document
should state, 395 Terminal Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario.
A13. Yes, the Destination of Goods, Services and Construction on page 1 of the RFP
document should state, 395 Terminal Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario.
Q14. MTS2.1 section 1 - states " all wire management and electrical capacity of the proposed products"
and section 3 states "the placement of the proposed products and the placement of the wire management
and electrical capacity". Are you asking for us to show the outlets, power poles and data ports on the
plans? Please define "electrical capacity" and how are we to show this on the plans. How are we to show
"wire management" on the plans?
A14. Yes, please show the outlets, power poles and data ports on the plans. “Electrical
capacity” means that all panels are to have the ability to accept power and data receptacles in the
future. Please indicate the electrical capacity by means of a general note on the floor plans. The
wire management requirement is to be deleted.
Q15. Do all the questions and answers from EN448-113565/A, including clarifications apply to this bid
even if not included in the re-issued /B document? For example these answers to questions were not
included in the reissued rfp,

Q15.1 Q33 : Annex A2, #6.7 - On the spec you ask for one pole for a pod of 4 stations and on the plans,
you have indicated one pole for a pod of 6 stations. Do you want two (2) 4-circuit power poles with
harnesses for a pod of 6 stations; or Do you want one pole with 2 x 4- circuit harnesses running down.
A33: We would like one pole with 2 x 4-circuits harnesses running down.

A15.2 Workstation 2029E has an end-panel (1372/610) located near the column. If the
end-panel was not indicated then floor supports such as C-legs or full gables would be required to
be provided.
Q16. Part 5, 1.3 Dealer Authorization States - If the Bidder is not the manufacturer of the products
proposed but is submitting a bid offering the products of the manufacturer(s), the bidder must be an
Authorized Dealer for each manufacturer whose products are being proposed... the Bidder must provide
with their bid a letter from each Manufacturer of the proposed product.... confirming that the Bidder is the
authorized agent/dealer." However, Annex A-2, 1.1 states the same manufacturer must supply
interconnecting panel systems and supported components, mobile pedestals and metal personal storage
cabinets. Please confirm all product must come from the same manufacturer.

Q17. Annex A-2, 6.8 - Please confirm if the pole mounts to the top of the panel, that the 9' height
requirement includes the height of the panel. For example, if the panel is 60" high, can the pole be 48"
high for an overall height of 108" or 9' be acceptable?
A17. Yes, if the panel is 60” high, the pole can be +/- 48” high for an overall height of +/108” pending on site base building conditions.
