This solicitation amendment 003 is raised to provide responses to questions received.
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
Q1.) Are other magnetic flowmeter acceptable or Rosemount or ABB?
A1.) If Rosemount or ABB meet the specification then they are acceptable. However,
determination of whether or not the substituted flow meters meet the spec will be determined by
the departmental representative after award of contract.
Q2.) Do you have weights of the larger pieces of equipment? Also do you want them salvaged or
can we remove in any manner we need to simplify demolition.
I.e.. Heat exchanger, Existing Aeration equipment, etc.
A2.) Weights of existing equipment are unknown. Equipment scheduled for demolition does not
need to be salvaged but demolition is to follow Section 01 74 21 - Construction/Demolition
Waste Management & Disposal.
Q3.) Will there be any confined space entry?
A3.) No.
Q4.) Do you expect any Asbestos or PCB's?
A4.) No.
Q5.) Is there any operational restrictions that apply during the duration of this project?
A5.) Yes, The water supply in the aeration tower must be operation by July 16th
Q6.) Attached a marked up M1/M2 drawing to clarify where the actual tie in points are and the
extent of a 600 mm line as well as the 250 Fa line extending down.
