My motivation to be a member of Council /
Ma raison pour vouloir siéger au Conseil
Since becoming President of AATI and, especially,
part of FIT LatAm, I have realized that goals can only
be achieved through dynamic team participation,
consensus and, most of all, hard work. I am willing to
serve as an active liaison between FIT and AATI,
contributing our unique experience and cultural
perspective on the profession. I am confident that
my input will not only benefit AATI through the
knowledge gained but bring the Association’s (and
LatAm’s) efforts more closely in line with FIT’s goals.
My vision for FIT in support of FIT’s aims and

I have always envisioned FIT as an organization that
takes into account the realities of the different
regions in which it operates and considers those
differences an asset. Diversity is enriching for all
those involved. I also believe FIT should even more
strongly uphold the values of professionalism,
respect and integration, and further its links with
educational institutions devoted to training
translators and interpreters worldwide.

Why the association wants to nominate the

Alejandra is an experienced and talented
translator, interpreter and academic, with
outstanding coaching and people skills. A
committed professional highly esteemed by the
TTI community, Alejandra has a sound track
record practicing the profession at leading
companies and institutions, and teaching
generations of translators and interpreters.
Alejandra has demonstrated excellent leadership
during her four-year tenure as AATI President.
Her visionary ideas and team-building have
contributed to increasing visibility for the
profession and taking the Association to an
entirely new level of relationship with major
stakeholders including academia, government,
TTI users and practitioners. In her regional role as
FIT LatAm Secretary, and in her frequent
interactions with FIT Council, Alejandra has
consistently delivered exceptional organization
and communication, matched by flawless
execution. We believe that Alejandra’s
nomination to FIT Council is the natural next step
in her brilliant career, as we are confident that
she will contribute her expertise, insight and
passion for the profession to help chart a
brighter future for TTI at worldwide level.

We cannot think of a worthier representative to
bring the voice of Argentine and Latin American
TTIs closer to FIT Council, and to be a FIT
advocate and spokesperson in our region.
Having an AATI member elected to FIT Council is
perfectly aligned with AATI’s motto “Bridge of
Bridges,” and with the aim to enhance the
visibility of the profession locally, regionally and
internationally.
