As a result, when operators go in and seek information there are some anomalies. When look at all files opened, for example, 30,481 entries are found. When drilling down to better understand these files it turns out that 13,510 were processed, 2,642 were voided (opened and then closed) for one reason or another; 1,029 have discrepancies and are under review; 481 are in the process completed (audited and sent to payroll); 1,691 are outstanding cases (as of 1 July 2016), and 11,128 have incomplete documentation. Slowly but surely the anomalies in new IPAS system are being rectified, new business tools are being introduced so that it is easier to keep track of each case and to follow-up on what documentation is missing and from whom. Not yet a perfect system, but a sophisticated system that enhances the capacity and the security of the Fund enormously.
