DERNIÈRE CHANCE : THÉÂTRE ACADIEN V’NEZ CHOU NOUS
Le dernier spectacle du théâtre acadien « V’nez Chou Nous » aura lieu le jeudi 30 août à 19h00 au
Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest, DeBlois. Cette comédie française, écrite et dirigée par Raymond J.
Arsenault intitulée « Ça me « tente » pas d’aller camper! », ne manquera pas de vous faire rire. Billets
pour le spectacle seulement sont 15$ adultes et 8$ pour enfants âgés de 12 ans et moins ou avec repas

The Acadian theatre, “V’nez Chou Nous”, last show of the year will be on Thursday, August 30th, at 7:00
p.m., at the Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest, DeBlois. This French comedy, written and directed by

REGGIE CHAISSON MEMORIAL WASHER TOSS TOURNAMENT
The 2nd annual Reggie Chaisson Memorial Washer Toss Tournament will be held on Sunday, August 26th
(rain date will be September 2nd), at the Miminegash Ball Diamond on the North side of the Harbour.
Registration will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for anyone ages 14 and up. Cost is $10 per
person. Teams will be drawn from hat. Cash prizes will be given out and barbeque on site. Come on out,
have some fun, and show your support for the Miminegash Fire Department!

CONFEDERATION TRAIL BIKE RIDE TIGNISH - BI-CENTENNIAL PARK
On Thursday, August 30th, at 6:00 p.m., hop on your bike and come join us at the Bi-Centennial Park in
Tignish for a free guided recreational bike ride for all age groups and experience levels. If you don’t have a
bicycle, let us know and we’ll arrange to get one for you. Helmets are mandatory and as part of the ride,
we’ll review some basic safety tips and draw for some prizes. For more information, please contact Ruth

Island Trials, and Western Region Sport & Recreation Council.
LOT 7 CEILIDHS
The Lot 7 Ceilidh takes place every Thursday, at 7:30 p.m., at St Mark’s Hall in Burton, Route 14. There
will be a lunch, door prize, and 50/50. This Thursday, August 30th, Phil Reynolds and Family will perform
along with others artists to be announced. Please note that Jack and the Beanies will not be performing
that evening. Entertainment for Thursday, September 6th, will feature Peter Arsenault and his sisters,
Helene Bergeron and Marie Arsenault, well known fiddler, singer, and dancer Vanessa Bernard, and
Dwayne Doiron.
FESTIN ACADIEN AVEC HOMARD

FESTIN ACADIEN AVEC HOMARD
Come to the “Festin acadien avec homard” (Acadian Feast with lobster) and taste our favourite Acadian
dishes (fricot, râpure, and meatpie) and lobster. Our guests, Food Network’s celebrity chef Corbin
Tomaszeski, Louise Arsenault, Hélène Bergeron, Georges Arsenault, and step dancers “Les Coups
d’pieds” will entertain. The feast will be held on Friday, August 31st, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the

50/50 BINGO
The Miminegash Firemenettes will be holding a 50/50 bingo every Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the
Miminegash Fire Hall. All proceeds will go towards the Miminegash Fire Department Equipment Fund.
TIGNISH MINOR HOCKEY
Tignish Minor Hockey will be holding their registration night at the Credit Union Arena on Sunday,
September 2nd and Tuesday, September 4th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The cost is 1st year initiation
$200; 2nd year initiation $340; 1st child $375; 2nd child $760; 3rd child $940; and 4th child $1,180.

COMITÉ RÉGIONAL DES JEUX DE L’ACADIE DE L’ÎLE-DU-PRINCE-ÉDOUARD
Recherche d’entraîneurs : Le Comité régional des Jeux de l=Acadie lance sa campagne d’inscription
pour la Finale 2013 qui aura lieu à Richibucto et Saint-Louis-de-Kent, N.-B., du mercredi 26 juin au
dimanche 30 juin 2013. On est à la recherche de personnes de plus de 19 ans voulant être
entraîneurs pour la prochaine finale. Les sports faisant partie de la programmation sportive sont
l’athlétisme, le badminton mixte, le basket-ball masculin, le mini hand-ball mixte, le soccer féminin et
masculin, le softball féminin, le tennis mixte et le volley-ball féminin et masculin. Les entraîneurs
doivent au moins posséder un certificat Théorie Partie A du Programme national de certification des
entraîneurs. Ceux et celles qui ne possèdent pas le certificat peuvent demander de l’aide financière et
technique du Comité régional des Jeux de l=Acadie. Pour plus de renseignements ou pour donner votre
nom comme entraîneur, vous pouvez communiquer avec Jeannette Gallant, coordonnatrice provinciale

Chef de Mission : On est à la recherche d’un chef de mission qui sera responsable de la délégation de
l’Î.-P.-É. à la 34e Finale de Jeux de l’Acadie. Les personnes intéressées doivent avoir déjà fait partie de
l'équipe de mission ou de l'équipe d'encadrement des Jeux de l’Acadie. Pour faire connaître vos

There will be a moving sale at 17 Pete’s Lane in Burton, Route 14 on Saturday, September 1st (rain date
will be September 3rd), from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Items for sale include beach cork, beach glass, and
many household items. Terms for payment will be by donation and the funds will go to the Palliative Care
Unit of the O’Leary Hospital.
