Opening Conference Reception
Thursday, May 13, 4:30pm – Murphy’s on Water Harbour Queen Boat Tour
You will not want to miss the kick off to the 2010 conference, with a reception aboard Murphy’s
Harbour Queen! Departing at 4:30pm from Murphy's Cable Wharf, on the Halifax waterfront (at the
bottom of George Street) you will enjoy a two hour boat tour of Halifax Harbor aboard this Mississippistyle sternwheeler. (This event is complimentary and is open to conference registrants and speakers
only). Please RSVP your attendance to this event on your conference registration form, available

All delegates attending must arrive at Murphy’s Cable Wharf by 4:15pm, the boat will depart at
4:30pm.

Le jeudi 13 mai, 16 h 30 – Excursion à bord du Water Harbour Queen de Murphy’s
Vous ne voudrez pas rater le démarrage de la conférence de 2010 à bord du bateau Harbour Queen de
Murphy’s! La réception débute avec le départ à 16 h 30 du port de Halifax, au Quai Murphy's Cable
Wharf, au bout de la rue George. Vous aurez droit à une croisière de deux heures en bateau à roue à
aubes arrière, style Mississippi, autour du port de Halifax. (Cette activité gratuite est réservée aux
délégués et conférenciers.) Veuillez indiquer votre présence à cette activité sur votre formulaire

Maritime Kitchen Party (Conference Banquet and Soiree)
Friday, May 14, 6:30pm – Pier 21 Halifax
Be sure to join us on Friday evening (May 14) for our Maritime Kitchen Party at Pier 21, Canada’s
Immigration Museum. A short distance from the Halifax Marriott, Pier 21 served as a gateway into
Canada from 1928 - 1971 for 1.5 million immigrants. It promises to be an evening not to be missed! The
evening will begin with a reception at Pier 21 where you will have the opportunity to tour the Rudolph
P. Bratty Exhibition Hall and view the many interactive exhibits at Pier 21. The reception will be followed
(at 7:30pm) by a traditional East Coast lobster dinner followed by great Maritime entertainment by the
Halifax band Big Fish! It promises to be one Kitchen Party you will not want to miss!!!

« Soirée de cuisine » des Maritimes (Réception et banquet) Le vendredi 14 mai, 18 h 30 – Quai 21,
Halifax
Vendredi soir (14 mai), vous êtes invités à notre « Soirée de cuisine » des Maritimes au Quai 21, le
musée de l’immigration du Canada. Situé tout près du Marriott de Halifax, le Quai 21 a servi de porte
d’entrée au Canada pour 1,5 million d’immigrants entre 1928 et 1971. Cela promet d’être une soirée
incontournable! La soirée débutera par une réception au Quai 21. Vous aurez la chance de visiter la salle
d’exposition Rudolph P. Bratty et de voir de près les nombreux montages interactifs du Quai 21. La
réception sera suivie (à 19 h 30) par un dîner traditionnel de homard de la côte Est, puis par une
classique « fête de cuisine » des Maritimes, animée par le groupe Big Fish de Halifax. Cela promet d’être
une soirée à ne pas manquer!!!
