help the poor and homeless
simply by collecting & donating
plastic grocery bags, milk &
Windsor Star blue bags. A local
woman recycles these bags to
make purses, mats & over the
shoulder bags which she
donates to the homeless shelter.
To make one mat which provides comfort for one
person about 800 bags are required. Please place
your excess plastic bags in the marked box under
the table in the hall foyer.

personnes sans abri et les démunis en
collectionnant vos sacs en plastic que vous recevez
au magasin? Une femme de la région utilise des
sacs de plastic pour fabriquer des sacoches et des
matelas qu’elle apporte au foyer pour sans-abri.
Simplement pour créer un matelas elle a besoin de
800 sacs. Veuillez recycler les sacs de plastic du
magasin, les sacs de lait et les sacs bleu qui entour
le journal en les plaçant dans la boîte sous la table
dans le foyer de la salle paroissiale. Votre aide
serait grandement appréciée.

Jesus asks us to remove the
obstacles that hinder our
relationship with Him. While
Jesus’ words in the Gospel
might sound harsh, they come
from Christ’s deep desire that
we be with Him forever. We
need to remove from our lives
all the obstacles that get in the
way of that relationship with
Him. Removing the barriers that stand in the way of having
a closer relationship with Jesus requires placing our trust and
faith firmly in Him.

ou son groupe les dons de Dieu. L’Esprit agit dans le cœur

Annunciation Cemetery Update:
Thank you
to everyone who made a donation to help build a new bridge
to access the main entrance of the cemetery. We are now
just $1,400 short of our goal. If you have not yet made a
contribution, it’s not too late. Please consider making a
donation in honour of a deceased loved one to help the
cemetery board build a bridge that will serve families for
many years to come. Today is Cemetery Sunday; please join
us for a bilingual prayer service at 12:30 pm at the cemetery
in Stoney Point. Reminder, you will need to use the back
entrance at the end of Elm St., parking is available in the
cemetery and you are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

Cimetière de l’Annonciation:
Le comité du
cimetière à Pointe-aux-Roches veut remercier toutes les
personnes qui ont fait un don pour nous aider à bâtir un
nouveau pont. Nous avons reçu 33,600$ jusqu'à date et nous
continuons d’encourager ceux et celles qui n’ont pas encore
contribué à s’engager à ce projet en mémoire des défunt(e)s.
Ce nouveau pont sera utilisé par nos descendants pour
plusieurs années. Tous sont invités de se rassembler au
cimetière aujourd’hui, dimanche le 27 septembre à 12h30
pour un service de prières bilingue en
honneur des personnes qui ont été
inhumées dans le cimetière dans les
derniers deux ans. Un rappel que
vous devez entrer par la rue Elm, il y a
ample stationnement dans le cimetière
et nous vous encourageons d’apporter
une chaise pour vous assoir.

Another season of Why Catholic is upon us. Season 3
begins the week of October 18th for 6 weeks with the
topic of ‘Believe’. What will this wonderful topic bring?
We will explore what we profess when we pray the Apostles
Creed at mass, what the early Disciples and the Disciples of
our own time believe and how our faith has been
transformed. It will inspire us to truly be disciples of Jesus
Christ. Sign-up Sunday is September 26th & 27th. Don’t

St. Peter's Seminary, London invites you to a discernment
retreat for men 17-55 years old considering a call to the
priesthood. This weekend offers a firsthand experience of the
life of a seminarian, spiritual help for discernment and an
opportunity to meet current students and faculty. The
