A very special guest on July 21st
Les Jeux du Québec welcome Nadia Comaneci
Montreal, July 13th 2016 – Les Jeux du Québec are proud to announce that the queen
of the 1976 Games, Nadia Comaneci, will be in Montreal on July 21st, for the
celebrations of the 1976 Olympic Games’ 40th anniversary.
Ms. Comaneci will be accompanied by her son Dylan and her husband, Bart Conner,
American gymnast who participated in the 1976 Games and double Olympic champion
in Los Angeles in 1984. The family will attend a few Finale des Jeux du Québec
competitions, in addition to attending the big commemoration show, JO’76, held at the
Olympic Stadium.
It was in the wake of the allocation of the Olympic Games to Montreal that the Jeux du
Québec program was created. There is a special relationship between Jeux du Québec
and Quebec Olympism. It is therefore an honor to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1976
Olympic Games and allow thousands of young athletes to participate in the celebrations.
