CRUSHED BY A TREE
Un accident regrettable est survenu dans
la journée d’hier à La Pêche, secteur
Farrelton. Un homme de 68 est décédé,
écrasé sous un arbre.
A 68 year old man is dead following an
unfortunate accident which occurred
yesterday, in La Pêche, Farrelton
Sector. He died after being crushed by
a tree.
La victime, Wilfried Podehl, 68 ans,
s’affairait à couper des arbres sur son
terrain du chemin Woods quand un arbre
s’est affaissé sur lui. Au moment de
l’accident, la victime travaillait seule.
The victim, Wilfried Podehl, 68 years
old, was cutting trees on his property,
situated on Woods Road, when one of
the trees fell on him. He was working
alone at the time of the accident.
C’est son fils qui a fait la macabre
découverte vers 19 h 00. Le corps de la
victime fut transporté au centre hospitalier
de Wakefield où son décès fut
officiellement constaté.
His son made the sad discovery at
approximately 19:00 hrs last night.
The victim’s body was transported to
the Wakefield Hospital, where he was
officially pronounced dead.
