The property is located in an upland area of Pianogreca, about two kilometres from the
centre of the main town, Lipari. Its high position means that is has a superb view and
is always refreshingly cool. Lipari is the biggest of the Aeolian Islands, home to the
only true town in the archipelago and at the core of the ferry and hydrofoil services.
Lipari is a lively place with a valuable assortment of archaeological finds from the
islands and the coast of nearby Sicily, as well as remnants of the once active volcano.
A car is essential on this big island, but it also has some lovely walks. The path leading
to the delightful beach at Valle Muria is a 15-minute walk from the private villa along an
old mule track.
The luxury rental villa has two separate buildings, both of which have two floors. On
the entrance floor of the main villa is a comfortable, welcoming lounge with a fireplace,
a colourful equipped kitchen, and a dining room with big windows that look out onto
the splendid landscape, and a large patio running around all the rooms. The second
building, close to the main building, has a spacious terrace on the first floor and a patio
on the same level as the garden below. Both buildings have satellite TV. In the living
room there is a satellite decoder for the Sky channel, but there is no card, so if you
want to use it you will have to bring your own card. The villa does not have air
conditioning but its position on the hill which means that it is always cool, especially in
the evenings.
In the main villa on the entrance floor is a guest bathroom. A staircase descends to the
lower floor where there are two bedrooms, one of which is a double bedroom with a
large bathroom and shower and the other a convertible twin room with a private
bathroom. Both rooms have direct access to the garden. The second building's first
floor has two double bedrooms, both with en suite bathrooms and ceiling fans. There
is also a bathroom on the lower floor.

In the outdoor dining area of the main villa there is an open-air kitchen with a wood
stove and a barbecue for memorable al fresco dining on glorious summer nights. The
sparkling infinity pool area and the lavish Mediterranean garden surrounding it, which
is tended by a renowned Sicilian landscape gardener, make it a most beautiful spot.
The pool is open from the second of June to the 14th of September.
