Then enjoy window shopping along the Louis Blanc Boulevard, nicknamed “porcelain Boulevard”. More than a pleasure for the eyes, the numerous shops and galleries are also a great opportunity to find a beautiful wedding present. Why not treat yourself to an ornamented porcelain jewel or a sweet box? Afterwards, enjoy a romantic tour in the picturesque Butcher’s street with its medieval houses built at the beginning of the 13th century dedicated to the butchery trade, including the possibility of discovering the traditional Butchers’ House Museum. Visit the numerous typical little shops of the area, specialized in antiques, enamel or porcelain jewellery. Butcher’s street After a lunch near the “Les Halles” covered market, where you can taste the local gourmet heritage, enjoy a guided tour in the Adrien Dubouché national Museum – Sèvres & Limoges - "Cité de la céramique". In the beautiful and recently refurbished buildings lies an exceptional, national-reference collection of ceramics from different periods (stoneware, earthenware and porcelain), manufacturing techniques and contemporary design. Do not forget to visit the museum’s shop. VIACERAM – Romance Romantic getaway in Limoges © City of Limoges Day 2 Visit the Medard de Noblat museum. A film will tell you all the secrets behind the making of Limoges porcelain. The permanent exhibition “Esprit Porcelaine” offers a contemporary image of porcelain, represented by 20 designers: unique or monumental items, table objects, all highlight porcelain as a material, in the sense of originality and innovation. Medard de Noblat museum and permanent exhibition “Esprit Porcelaine” After a lunch, visit the Reynou zoological and landscaped park (located in Le Vigen, a few kilometres from Limoges). You will be able to observe a wide range of animals (600 animals i.e. 130 species) representing the five continents.
