Le département de chirurgie de L’Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants du Centre universitaire de santé McGill est à la recherche d’un chef de
division pour le service de dentisterie. Les candidats doivent avoir de l’expérience en milieu académique et avoir démontré de la
compétence pour l’enseignement, l’administration et la recherche. Le candidat choisi doit être éligible à l’obtention d’un permis de pratique
dentaire pour la province de Québec.
La division de dentisterie assure des soins exceptionnels à tous les enfants de la communauté, incluant ceux souffrant de la carie de la petite
enfance, de traumatismes oro-faciaux, de problèmes de comportement, handicaps mentaux, physique et/ou social et de maladies tertiaires
affectant la dentition ainsi que les structures maxillo-faciales. Cette division est affiliée à plusieurs centres de santé communautaires et
devra travailler en collaboration avec les autres services à l’élaboration et à l’organisation d’un programme intégré de chirurgie craniomaxillo-faciale. Les activités cliniques incluent près de 14,500 visites de patients, 7 spécialités et 325 opérations sous anesthésie générale.
Chaque année, la division accepte 4 ou 5 étudiants post-doctoraux pour une formation additionnelle d’un an en dentisterie générale avec une
importante emphase sur la dentisterie pédiatrique. Le programme jouit d’un agrément complet. Les membres de la division doivent faire
partie de nombreux comités tant à l’hôpital qu’au niveau universitaire.
