Amendment 1:
This amendment is raised to add an option to purchase up to an additional three (3) vessels with trailers.

ADD IN PART 3 – BID PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
3.1.3.5 Option
1. If additional funding becomes available, DFO may choose to exercise the option, in whole or in part,
to purchase up to three (3) additional boats and trailers built in accordance with the TSOR, Annex "A"
and Annex "D". Therefore, Bidders are invited to propose a price.
2. The price quoted for the option must be firm, remain valid and open for acceptance by Canada for
one (1) year after the delivery of the first boat subject to this RFP. The option proposed must be in
accordance with the terms and conditions of this RFP.
3. The option proposed will not form part of the Evaluation for the award of a contract in response to
this RFP.
4. In this RFP, only the option proposed by the successful bidder may be considered by Canada.
5. The option, if incorporated in the Contract, in whole or in part, may or may not be exercised at the
sole discretion of Canada.
6. Canada reserves the right to negotiate the priced option.
7. Price:
(a) for one (1) additional boat and trailer as per Annex “A” and Annex “D” (GST/HST and transportation
charge excluded):

ADD IN PART 7 – RESULTING CONTRACT CLAUSES
7.1.1
Optional Goods
The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to acquire up to three (3) additional boats with
trailers as described at Article 7.1 of the Contract under the same conditions and at the prices stated in
the Contract or negotiated by Canada. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority
and will be evidenced, for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.
The Contracting Authority may exercise the option at any time up to one (1) year after the delivery of
the first boat by sending a written notice to the Contractor.
ADD IN PART 7 – RESULTING CONTRACT CLAUSES, under 7.6.1.1 Charge-out Rate / Material Mark-up

(i) if additional funding becomes available, DFO may choose to exercise the option to purchase up to
three (3) additional boats and trailers built in accordance with the TSOR, Annex "A” and Annex “D”.
