Job Description:
This role will be based in Antwerp and we require a person fully fluent in English (spoken and written). We are looking for someone enthusiastic,
willing to learn and grow among our team of experienced Project forwarders based in Europe.
This is a dynamic role that requires excellent business attitude, good organization, a minimum of operational skills as well as pro-activeness. The
profile we are recruiting should be result-oriented and able to handle time pressure while carrying on negotiations, with rather high purchasing
amounts.
The position is rather transversal (both commercial & operational aspects), and mainly related to our vertical focusing on the industrial project freight
forwarding.
Key responsibilities will include:
Liaising with 3rd parties (freight forwarders, hauliers, shipping lines) for quotation requests and operational follow up.
Liaising daily with customers : answering & following up on quotations while generating new opportunities, build relationship with key personnel.
Set up operational process after securing a job
Keep record of quotations and follow up on daily basis.
Follow up on cargo movements (with hauliers / drivers) and providing information timely & accurately to customers
Work among our existing team of 3-4 people strictly dedicated to Chartering of Project cargo, while interacting with all other Worldwide Branches on
various projects
Maintain & develop our business relationship with existing portfolio (clients & suppliers).
Occasionally, and for sensitive projects : attend critical lifting & loading operations at shippers premises or Port.
Desired Skills & Expertise:
Great customer service skills
Accurate, detailed, organized person.
Comfortable with the use of Microsoft Office 365, e.g : Word, Excel, Outlook, …
Ability to communicate perfectly in English verbally and in writing.
Experience in freight forwarding in particular is not of an essence but some relevant work experience in the logistics and/or purchasing area would be
desirable
