TIGNISH CREDIT UNION - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Tignish Credit Union Ltd. will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00
p.m. at the Tignish Parish Centre. The evening will begin with the Business Meeting followed by
refreshments. A number of prizes will be drawn for throughout the evening including two grand prizes worth
$500.00 each. All owners are welcome and urged to attend to celebrate the success of their business. It
is your opportunity to hear the reports on the year of activities from the board members whom you elected.
CAISSE POPULAIRE DE TIGNISH
La Caisse populaire de Tignish tiendra son assemblée générale annuelle le mardi, 16 novembre à 19h00
au Centre paroissial de Tignish. La soirée débutera par la reunion d’affaires suivie d’une collation. Un
certain nombre de prix seront tirés durant la soirée, y compris deux grands prix de 500$ chacune. Tous
les propriétaires sont les bienvenus et invités à participer pour célébrer le succès de leur entreprise. C’est

At Westile Composite High School (Elmsdale) on Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00 p.m. Continuation of
the play PLACIDE, THE MYSTERIOUS MAN, the Acadian detective who was hired by the New York police
force to clean up the city of its hardened criminals. Alot of suspense! In search of a true hero for all of us!
Admission: seniors $6; adults $8; students (13-17) $5; and children $3. There will be a 50/50 draw. The
doors open at 6:15 p.m.

SALT FISH SUPPER
Le Club des coeurs joyeux welcomes the Community to a Salt Fish Supper on Friday, November 19th from
4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at le Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest in DeBlois. Tickets are available ($6.00 for
members and $10.00 for non-members) at the door. Everyone is welcome!
SOUPER À LA MORUE SALÉE
Le Club des coeurs joyeux invite la communauté à un souper à la morue salée le vendredi 19 novembre
au Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest à DeBlois de 16h30 à 18h30. Billets (6$ pour membres et 10$ pour

SKIT N’ SKOF
Skit n’ Skof presents Henry’s Christmas Carol at Westisle Composite High School on Friday, November 26th and
Sunday, November 28th at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 12 and under. Tickets
are sold at the door and proceeds go to charity.
GED PROGRAM HOLLAND COLLEGE INFORMATION SESSION
Anyone wanting information on working towards your Grade 12 GED education such as where and when the Programs
are offered, are invited to attend an Open-to-the-Public Information Session offered Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00
p.m. at the Tignish Employment Resource Centre. GED instructors will be on hand to provide information and answer

CWL BAZZAR
Our Annual Fundraiser will be held on Sunday, November 21st at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Palmer Road. It will
begin with a Brunch after the 11:00 a.m. Mass (we will be serving ham, sausage, eggs, hash browns, toast, tea &
coffee). There will be tables set up for a craft, white elephant and bake sale. We are selling tickets on our baskets
again this year - 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. The Bingo will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the basket tickets will be drawn during the
Bingo. We appreciate all your support!
ANTRIM SISTERS - CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE
Friday, November 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For this two day event, we will have 20% off all in-store items (excluding fresh flowers and plants! Also, purses reduced
to $35.00 and beautiful silk arrangements available at 20% off! There will be ballots for great Prizes! Just arrived at

2010 ADVENT PREPARATION
_ Sessions in French for adults will be held on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish
on November 23rd and 30th and December 7th and 14th. Sessions will be directed in French by Alméda M. Thibodeau
at 853-3999.

French sessions, for adults, will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road. The first session will
be on Sunday, November 21st at 7:00 p.m. The three other sessions will also be on Sunday however the time will
be 2:00 p.m. on November 28th, December 5th and 12th. These sessions will be directed in French by Alméda M.
Thibodeau 853-3999.

KIDS WEST
‹ Kids West will be holding a diaper drive to collect diapers for families in need in West Prince. Diapers can be
dropped off at participating Canada Posts or directly to Kids West during the weeks of November 15th to and
including 26th. New bags of diapers and partial bags are accepted. If you have any questions, please call 853-3437.
‹ We are looking for Businesses, Families, Community Groups and Individuals to partner with Kids West Family
Resource Centre to help out families who may not have the resources to experience the kind of Christmas some of us
enjoy. Please help us by becoming a sponsor or by making a donation. All donations, large or small, will be helpful
and charitable receipts can be issued. Let’s help to put some magic in everyone’s Christmas. Please call or stop by

‹ Applications are now available for those families with children between the ages of 0 and 12 who are experiencing
difficulties preparing for the holidays. Kids West can help by providing a food hamper containing all the food items you
will need for your Christmas dinner. Some families may meed our requirements to have your Christmas sponsored.
