LIBRARY BOOKSTORE OFFICIALLY REOPENED
After weeks of renovations, the library volunteer-run bookstore officially reopened on Saturday,
October 3, 2015 coinciding with the library’s 120th anniversary events during the month of October. The
spacious floor space and brightened décor was a major step forward in making the store fully accessible
to all and giving it a fresh look. The selection of used books is of top quality with the addition of new
books by local authors. Library souvenirs can also be purchased in the store. We even sell coffee, tea,
hot chocolate etc.
The store is open daily, Sunday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on
Saturday. All proceeds from sales are used to fund library special projects.

Les rénovations sont terminées !
Ils étaient plus d’une trentaine à prendre part à la réouverture du magasin de livres de la bibliothèque
de Cornwall, le 3 octobre dernier.

« C’est un projet qui a débuté en mai, a souligné Pierre Dufour, coordinateur des communications pour
la bibliothèque publique de Cornwall. Nous avons ajouté un nouveau plancher et avons rendu le
magasin plus accessible. »
En effet, l’espace entre les étagères serait maintenant de 42 pouces, pour accommoder les fauteuils
roulants. De plus, les murs du magasin sont maintenant verts et une cafetière est maintenant disponible
pour les visiteurs. Le projet a été financé en grande partie par les Amis de la bibliothèque, un groupe de
bénévoles qui entreprend d’aider la bibliothèque.
« Je crois qu’un tel projet démontre comment nos bénévoles sont travaillants, a tenu à souligner le
maire de Cornwall, Leslie O’Shaughnessy, qui était présent afin de prendre part au coupé du ruban. Ils
sont fantastiques! »
